Golden Tiger and Zamaldelica

I've tried 12/12 and 11/13 and it didn't make much difference to flowering time, for me anyway. The yield looked about the same too. What did make a big difference to flowering times was using the 12/1 Gaslight method.

Hey MB. My seed grown Zamaldelica & GT fems went 14 and 16 weeks. All mine get 11/13 light schedule . I'm not sure if it reduces the overall finishing times that much. I do it more for power usage, as I'm running 3x 600 w HPS . Over time it adds up in usage. The shorted time doesn't seem to reduce yield either.I found the Zamaldelica to be slightly better in yield, both smell awesome. As for the high!! I found both to be very similar.Very visual distortion , depth of field affected, sort of a out of body effect.Happy uplifting highs, energetic . Not a sit down and watch tv.The GT has a nice fruity pineapple , carrot taste. The Zamaldelica more earthy carrot . Hope this helps.View Image Golden Tiger.View Image Zamaldelica

What kind of lighting/watts did you pull those under bro? Nice plants!

hello,

i just read super soil was an ammended mix (dunno if what reffering to)>

i have not grown GT, but some phenos are supposed to be very nutrient sensitive, if you are ammending (adding) to a fertilized medium, then i think that might be too much for GT (againf from reading).

> you could always use 60% supersoil 40% coir or something though (although i have not done that before and pulled the figures from thin air)

panama has a relatively high nutrient tolerance though, relatively speaking i think (re: being a "100% sativa"), although i have only grown 4 seeds..., i think that will do fine, especially organically, i just dumped mine in potting on compost...

but dunno how seeds are going to react etc etc

regards,

Yes... Super Soil is a potent, homemade, organic soil mix... It works very well with Indicas, hybrids and especially outdoor plants...

I'm not quiet sure how plants like the ones you are interested in will like/handle the super soil though... I don't see pure landrace sativas taking to well to it, but maybe you could amend yourself a "lighter" less potent mix to try out.

I will tell you this, from first hand experience, that pure Sativas are almost always super sensitive to nutes... It takes a while to get a grip on them and steer them the way they need to go and provide them with the right type of "fuel" so to speak...

Good luck with whatever you chose!

Hey MB. I grow in Coco&perlite. The strains like GT& Zamaldelica have been worked a bit for indoor growing, especially the fems , which I have a few. They are taking the nutes very easily. GT would be the most sensitive out of my lot, but still handles up too 1.8 EC and pk13-14 in flower.I think it is more about having hotspots in the soil , especially nitrogen, from manures

Interesting Holeshot, thanks for the info... I was just referring to pure sativas in general are much more nute sensitive than any other strain. Don't get me wrong, i've had some you can really put the nutes to and some that will OD instantly. Now that you speak of it, I swear I have gave that Zamaldelica the same amount of nutes as my other strains (jack, nebula, LSD, powerplant, sugar punch etc etc) and she seems to take them well just a hair of burnt tips and thats it, which slight burnt tips/points is not always a bad sign in my personal opinion....

However I did have to back off the nitrogen a bit on the GT, the burnt tips seemed to be more pronounced than the rest and it also seemed to get a little lifelessness in it... But she is back on track now.

Honestly, the most nutrient sensitive strain i'm currently running is one of the SSSDH phenos, that girl can't handle hardly anything but drops of this and drops of that lol... My Cindys were also really nute sensitive, more so than the rest until I threw her into flower NOW SHE is extremely hungry and had to up the nutes a lot due to nitrogen deficiency and so on.... Haha, isn't it odd how these plants have a mind of their own? I mean really intelligent and picky beings....

MountainBudz, I have been using Alaskan brands fish emulsion and more bloom. The zamaldelica and my panama both seemed very sensitive to the fish based fertilizers. It may be brand specific? I'm not sure. I'm currently doing an f1 hybrid of (zamaldelica x Hawaiian). This hybrid is very nute sensitive also. I'm at 1/8 of recommended dosage now. I did one last feeding today and will only water for last 4 weeks of flowering. 15 weeks total for this girl. It may want longer butt there is 3 concerts at Red Rocks in early June. I want at least a 2 month cure before we see the shows. I have several Gt's and one pack of Malawi's. I'm looking forward to both of them. Good luck in your grows! Peace
