Going to India for the harvest season?

Legality of cannabis in India and nepal is a weird issue. In Nepal it was legally sold till 1973 from wholesale premises. Some Indian states still have government grown weed available in bang shops. In India weed seems to be more acceptable than hashish but if caught with either move quickly to make the bribe. more cops=more bribes. The main thing is if you have a kilo, dont carry it around all day in your backpack as you stop for chai and smoke a few chillums unless you wanna get caught. I know the police will be in Parvati for the harvest season but its a big valley with well remote areas and as long as ya dont have more than a few tolas on ya if caught, u be cool. I personally never got searched but some friends did and a few got nabbed......20 euro got em off.....gotta move quickly. Nepal on the other hand seems very relaxed. In KTM everyone is hustling in the open on the streets. Cant walk 5 paces without ....pssst...hashish....but ya need to get out into the countryside to score the finest. Both Indian and Nepali people are truly amazing and friendly and will go out of their way to help you out...with anything. Small villages in the production areas are where its at. Call in to any shop and within seconds your looking through diff varieties of hashish and oils and ganja from under the counter. Also, the fact that all the plants are in full flower means you wont be stuck for a bit for a joint....ever. Just get rubbing. Rub that shit baby. India and Nepal are safer than Amsterdam in my opinion. And also a shitload prettier. Its hard to compete with the Himalaya.

Yo Toka....I reckon we should definitely organise 1 for next year too. Its a beautiful place to hang. Hashish costs vary depending on the time of year, harvest being cheapest. That piece was from may 2012 and I think was about 1 euro a gram, so the price was 496 euro for 496 grams(before barter). Bartering skills sure do come in handy in the mountains. In harvest time the hash is free....one you make it yourself. If your rubbing your own, expect some big blisters on your hands. But the pain feels soooo good.

Haggling skills will be needed in the mountains...the first price they ask for I usually cut in half or less, just to test the waters. Sometimes, if the product is amazing and the asking price is fair there is no need to haggle. Everyone has a diff price for their product but I expect prices to drop in harvest because of the abundance and availability. cream was more expensive when I was about in May because they said most of it was already sold. Some villagers were flat out of it. Just jungli on offer.
I reckon it would be a kick ass destination for a few of us to meet up and go on a hashish making extravaganza...next year maybe. I know I'm gonna be there anyway. Happy days. time to start saving for next year too.

mate i'd probably shit my pants if i see that fuker near me bed i really really REALLY hate spiders! we'll just have to throw a lump of hash on the fire and try smoke em out...actually, that might give em the munchies!
Time to get the hiking gear ready and try to get a little fitter before the trip. Being such a lazy bastard at home hasn't fully prepared me physically for the events ahead. I'm not a fat bugger but I'm no Olympian either. The last time I was in Himachal was also the last time I climbed anything so hopefully my muscles still remember. Here's a few shots from some of the possible destinations.
Steeper than it looks. This photo is taken halfway up to Rashol village which is just across a high pass from Malana. Its the transit village for Malana cream to the rest of India because the main Malana road is well watched by police. The locals walk it across the mountain pass and into Rashol village where it's then brought down to Kasol by locals/shepards/chancers....Great selection of smokeables in Rashol usually...especially in Harvest.
This is the view from Rashol down the valley towards Kasol. It's alot easier climbing back down than up. Very nice places to stay up here too and fields are quite close.

Regarding the dry sift - bring some net from EU - you want to have a large array off mesh sizes - and some metal 300 my net to get rid off stalks and seeds are very usefull.. Also the locals will rub any plant so you need to protect ya feild or els it will be
3 gen hash where the 2 first where robbed-rub by locals....
