Sorry to hear about your mom bro.

Read all you can on this forum. Check out this thread for some basic advice: https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=297142

Selecting the right strains is important especially if you have a short growing season where you are. What latitude are you at?

Strains I would recommend for more Northern latitudes:
Guerrilla Gold (better in crosses but ok in pure form)
Royal Dane
Freezeland
Rocket Chunk
Erdpurt (Ace Seeds)
Thyphoon
Leb27
Anything from "Hybrids From Hell" should be great

Cut the bull and tell us the full story...
for the FULL help version?

my mom got a keyhole surgery and the doctor made a mistake.
he cut her main blod stream to the left leg and she almost died
coz they did not have a specialist to stitch the blodstream at that hospital,
they had to drive my mom to another hospital while 2 person's was sitting on her to slow down the inerblod los....

she made it trugh that. shes strong. but now she is eating 16 pills every day. and when she goes to work 2 times a week for 4 hours
she goes home and sleep the next day away coz of pain.

after the recorvery she got told by the doctor that made the mistake to make a case in corde.

now 6 years after my mom lost her case in corde. and has to pay for it all with in 30days
this is 1.4 million danish kr. she cant do that she all ready uset all her money on this daimn stupid case.

so she are gona lose her home all her money her car her "medicin the stupid pills that almost killed her last year"........

so im gona supply the pain medicin. cannabis.
she do not deserve to live the rest of her life with no pain controll.

It's not so much the cold you have to worry about as the wet (moldy buds). Good outdoor strains usually have the advantages that they have good mold resistance and more importantly that they are photo-sensitive enough to start flowering a few weeks before most other strains, which can make a big difference.

Not sure which Maroc line you have, but unless the strain was acclimatized (grown outdoors over a few generations, with only the earlier phenotypes being allowed to reproduce) close to your latitude, then the results might be disappointing outdoors.

If I were you I would try the Maroc, but also get something that you know will do well outdoors where you are.

Last year I grew some Maroc from Lala that has been acclimatized and it did very well - near zero mold and it's nice smoke too! It was grown along with Viking (old Dutch strain probably made from an Afghan landrace) which got a bit of mold but was still well worth growing. I'm smoking some right now :)

So I can also recommend any of Lala's outdoor strains if you can find them. They are very well worth hunting for :)

If you can get some horse shit that has had time to rot down, dig it in a couple of weeks before planting and your plants will love it. Don't use it if it's fresh or it will burn your plants.

IMO the best teas to use would be nettle (for veg) and comfrey (for flower). You probably won't need much (if any nettle) if you have some rotted down horse shit, but it's worth finding comfrey if you can.

Choosing if pots or in the ground is right for you depends on you and your circumstances. If you have a plot where no one but you can see the plants and/or you feel comfortable having them there permanently then go for in the ground. In the ground is easier since you won't have to water so much or even all all. In pots they dry out more quickly but you can also move them easily if you need to. In beds they can get bigger/yield better as long as they get good sun, but with pots you can move plants around and follow the sun.

If you are not sure, try a few in the ground and a few in pots. I actually prefer "flexi tubs" (with holes punched in the base) to pots - they are sort of half way between in the ground and in pots, but you can drag them around fairly easily if you need to unlike a big pot!

I'm sorry for your mom, if the house had another prior claim beforehand it would be difficult to claim the house?

I'd look to autoflowers for a constant flow of pain relief, and are easier to grow than photo periodic plants at least in early spring, save the photos to later.
I too have and are still trialling those flexi tubs, very comfortable to use, but perhaps not deep enough to grow weed,. as I said I'm still testing them out ...anyone else?

Invest in seeds of a good stable outdoor strain and keep a couple of males to make seeds with. Then at least you will have free seeds for the next time. You might also be able to trade some of your seeds for other strains.

What is your latitude? This is probably the most important information you could provide to help us help you choose strains for a successful outdoor grow. As well as general climate information.

For example I am @ 44N with a last frost date of May 20th and Oct 15th. My climate is quite rainy around harvest time too, which can be difficult to work with. This restricts my selection to early mold resistant strains preferably mid-late September harvest. Unleashdagreen and Royal Canadian Marijuana Collective breed strains specifically for us northern climate growers.

However, growers further south have a much larger selection of strains.
