At what ratios should I mix Peatmoss, Perlite, and Vermiculate? How much Dolomite Lime do I add? Should I supplement my teas with Epsom (or is that for hydrated lime)?

Would I need to add anything more to MrSoul's tea's?

I used to use peat/perlite and feed gh lucas.. kinda want to do the same but organic..

This is a very common beginner soil mix that I've been using for a while. It can be easily flushed to correct for problems like salt buildup or over fertilizing.

2 parts Promix

1 part Vermiculite

1 part Perlite

1 tbsp / gallon of Dolomite Lime

You can add the following amendments

1 tbsp / gal Blood Meal
1 tbsp / gal Bone Meal

Real questions is, why? You can just add dry ferts to your soil and you'd get the same-similar results.

Fox Fam POM, Blood Meal, Bone Meal, Kelp Meal, etc... you can mix those in easily. Take a look at the recipes listed in the beginner organics sticky.

I was looking for an organic liquid feed I can just use in my soiless mix like I do the gh stuff..you know mix in water, and feed as often as possible.. But screw it..

No one around here carries ProMix, the only thing available all year is peatmoss and perlite. Vermiculate and dolomite are seasonal. This will be my first time adding verm and lime to my peat/perlite mix. I think I'll stick with GH and not change that many variables at once. Plus I'm not into making a mess.

I recommend Lavender Cowboys's mix:

LC’s Soiless Mix #1:
5 parts Coir
3 parts perlite
2 parts wormcastings or mushroom compost or home made compost
Powdered dolomite lime @ 2 tablespoons per gallon or 1 cup per cubic foot of the soiless mix.

I am surprised no one has mentioned the Earth Juie line up. They have a full line that is easily used in just about any substrate and is very organic in nature. I use it in a top feed drip system with Promix BX, hydrotron and Coco.
