thanks homeless and -VT-, yes they are in 100 % coco, i drilled holes in the botom so hopefully i see roots coming out off the cups sooner or later, none as sucumb till now, still some time to see the outcome but my fingers are crossed.peace
some more NYCD (sorry but its my muse)
it´s now visible some purple beggining to appear in some leafs and im happy for that
hmmm....seems them buds don't want to completely fill out eh. They do look very tasty and frosty though
I grew some Passion #1 out that did the same thing to me. Could never get a full thickness on it even after 60+ days at 12/12.
At first I thought maybe it was a runt, or a hermie (it did pose some hermie traits).
Then I got into a theory that it was just simply rootbound (I tried flowering in 2 Gallon buckets) but even after a transplant to a much bigger pot, it didn't help much.
I also thought fungus gnats, which I was having a problem at the time could have been the culprits. The other plant wasn't affected though, and the gnats were done in rather quickly...so I don't think this was a real problem.
The soil became my greatest suspect after that. I was just using cheap store bought soil with perlite and vermiculite cut in it. When I ammended this suspect problem for the next grow, I had a huge difference in results.
A little example of what she looked like at 60 days
Maybe those results were due to a number of the things listed above. I still think it was the soil though.
Maybe try going back to something that you've had good results with in the past while experimenting with coco?
Your clones and vegetive plants are looking in fabulous health and your buds are ultra frosty
hey tml the reason his buds are recovering was he had a problem due to a light timer failure and thats why those sativas stratched out as they are much more sensitive to light malfunctions
well tml 16, im not shure but im leeaning to the possibility of being more than the light problem, maybe is the number of plants in one conteiner, i dont know,i can see that some might be wrong but i cant quite put my finger on it, they are so late, this must be some black humor, me that tried to acelerate the hole thing to harvest a quick crop since my stash was long gone, that´s life, now is just wait and see.peace
just some pic update, the plants are recovering from the problems and budding up now, im very ancious to see if they will get dense, but this will be some long flowering time for me, just pass 66 days and still allot more to come, thats life!!
yea thebudfather, that´s on a good side, some might be ready earlyer, im talking about the slmaller NYCD, the pistils are turning brown and she looks like she is finishing up, the arjan´s haze is picking up very quick and the bud´s are filling up nicely, one of the critical mass, streched alot more then the other´s and she will be the slowest, im getting a little impacient, and i sampled some lower buds that wasn getting any light, so far the NYCD was the bomb, i love the tast, im not a god taste discriber, but i now that it was good and the buzz was strong even for an undeveloped bud, this makes the future brighter!!
peace
well ive picked my best and most advanced NYCD bud,
at 70 days in flowering it was looking kinda ready
so i decided to have a small sample,
this is going to be some very nice smoke!!!
They don't need to revegetate all the way to affect a 12/12 photoperiod. Some weren't as affected cause they cannot revegetate.
For a period to be considered 12/12 it has to be uninterrupted, if it's interrrupted the plant will continue to vegetate. So you must include only the 12/12 photoperiod as flowering time.
cgnosis is correct, that's why some of them are taking longer. the nycd just happens to be least effected. on the whole you did a great job i_score, next time make sure they have 12 hours un interupted darkness all the way through 12/12 and things will be more normal. but it's nothing to worry about your bud will still be primo, just a matter of adapting to the diferent harvest dates.
your next run should be real interesting, you have a whole bunch of plants. will you go for a sog?
thank´s gaius, i allready new that the timer thing made them start to reveg, in fact im very familiar with the process, this clones were revegetated, they were ofered to me as trimings from a friends flowering grow that streched too mutch so they were allready in bloom and then rooted and reveged.
still im not desapointed with this grow and it made me see the beneficts off growing on coco, and im very optimist towards the harvest, butt lets see.
as for my nex grow, im going to try just that gaius,a SOG, not that im not pleased with this one tub filled with coco, butt im going to try and do a perpetual grow, it must be fantastic having all the diferent stages of blooming all the time, it´s my third indoor grow so im still experimenting to see what suit´s me the best.
peace
I had a white widow that happened a similar thing, not fault of a timer , but my fault.. and it happened to be a lot more productive. Don't worry you'll be fine with the yield.
A advice too.. If you SOG don't do any vegetation time, or it'll be impossible for a 250w to handle. You would be better with a SCROG, specially cause you got different strains and not to much light..
cgnosis- as for productivity, i think i might get lucky and have the same results as you because it looks that they are putting some wheigh now.as for the SOG, i was thinking of doing single colas stile, no vegetative, as soon as they rooted, 12/12 from then on, but i allways wanted to do a SCROG and the fact that you dont need to have many plants is very appealing to me for security reasons, so i still have to think better on this subject.
gaiusmarius-thank god i have some clones, and i keep a mother plant from all the strains that i have in bloom,so that i dont loose some great smoke just for being lazzy,as i did in the past.
The Budfather-NYCD is one of those strains that you can´t go wrong IMHO, it´s very resinous, the buds are tight, alldought mines look very indica the buds streched nicely and in one of my plants i have 3 colas with 30 cm more or less, for a lst plant and low wattage is very nice, and as for the smoke, for the samples that ive toked, let me tell you, an instant favorite, i love the taste and i love even more the buzz, i think that this one is going to be in my grows for a long time!!
thank´s for drooping and for the advices every one.
