I have thought about my earlier post, and I found some compassion in my heart for people who steal. I understand that times are hard, some people got no money. But I mentionned this in my post, stealing for necessity (food) is different then stealing someone's bike so you can have a bike, or stealing some weed from someone just so you can smoke.
The thing with people who steal from other people, is it can have a negative influence on people, people get paranoid.
I am not for one bodily harm, as much as I think that someone who steals and gets a couple punches sort of deserves them, I don't think it would be okay to give permanent damages to someone.
I think it's important to give warnings.
and this led me to think that some (maybe quite a few) of you would not report theft to police
usually people who steal build a reputation and word gets around

The bible is what is called "Faction" A fictional story set in a factual time and place. Thus the time, place and real historical characters are all correct but the fictional characters and stories are not!

Pilate is recorded in the Roman record as a somewhat lack luster man but no mention of a Jesus, a trial or crucifixion that would surely have been used to make him look brighter!
At best he was an amalgam of those others but almost certainly never existed!
The Roman Emperor Constantine produced the bible and he was a pagan not god! He took the Jewish religion and basing it on the Mithras religion, organized it into Christianity and then into the Holly Roman Catholic Church!! Not in Israel or any of the countries of supposed origin but entirely ITALIAN!
Not one word of it is contemporary with the period and was not written until several hundred years after the period the story is set in!! I'm not really a Bill Mahr fan but Religulous was pretty damn funny and I'm pretty much on board with the whole astrotheology point of view. Some things are questionable and I think it takes some leaps to arrive at all the conclusions but for the most part I think it's on the mark.

Im not religious but I do believe there is God, but not in the context in which religious institutions exploit for money. There is no deity sitting on a puffy white cloud watching down on us.
"God" by any name you choose to refer to him as is me and you and every other living, breathing creature on earth. We can create, destroy love and judge, like the darkness chased by the light.
