Nope. what circulates as Thin Mints on IC for the past 4 years as Jigga's Thin Mint looks nothing like Jiggas pictures of #CookieFam GSC.
once you've smoked it next to other cookies I think you will agree that while it looks and tastes stellar the buzz isn't close to Forum or OGKB.
I don't think people ever would have hyped cookies so hard if they were smoking the ICmag Thin Mints cut.
everyone who smoked the early cookies agreed that it was the strongest thing to come along at the time but this Thin Mint isn't
I wanted to believe it was the #cookiefam cut when it was passed to me too but it's just another pretty bagseed.
what #Cookiefam was growing then looked like Animal and OGKB's cut.
here's a shot of the Animal next to the Forum from back then.
OG Kush Breath was the first person to show up actually growing cookies in the original thread back when everyone else here was hyping the smoke and searching for a cut and getting fakes like the Nu-Wave and others.
when I went to the Bay in feb '12 and bought OGKB's cookies there were just Animal and Girl Scout Cookies being discussed here. the forum cut wasn't loose yet and the Thin Mint cut showed up here after Jigga was online calling their cut "Thin Mint" on IG.
all the named GSC cuts came later.

I always wonder about the 5% CBD shit everyone was spreading about cookies back in the day, none of the cuts ever tested high CBD but CBD was getting lots of hype at the time.
#cookiefam was all over IG screaming how nobody had their cut and everything was bagseed.
and then NorCal got ahold of the OGKB cut and started hyping it on IG and talking about the beans he was about to drop, (greatful breath, mendo breath etc) and Jigga showed up all freaked out.

it looked pretty clear when this happened that Jigga saw the OGKB and thought it was the #cookiefam cut.
Here's what OG Kush Breath had to say about his cut's origins way back in the original cookie thread.
right after this happened the #cookiefam started hyping their own breeding projects like Gelato and Sherbet but they never verified that the OGKB was the same as the original.
for all we know #cookiefam might have popped a bagseed of what was circulating in 09 or 10 as cookies and found their cut that way even though they claimed they bred it.
it's very hard to know who to trust if you go back and look at OG Kush Breath's second post here on ICmag...
One thing is certain, the most hyped crosses to come out in the past years that had any traction came from the OGKB line but nobody seems to grow the OGKB cut anymore.

Can someone tell me the real lineage behind this strain and why it's so popular?

I think he was just trying to get the hype train out of the station and didn't know that it was already starting to roll in a different thread.
six months later on his next post here he is the first person in the original cookies thread to post shots of cookies in a grow room.
he has deleted his forum albums since then but I copied them anticipating arguments like this coming up in the future.
about 6 months after that the forum cut started getting spread by Abja and before long was considered to be the "real cookies" here.
eventually the OGKB cut got it's name when NorCal got her.

the buzz was more energizing with none of the knockout OGKB effects that launched a million memes.
dope flavor though and it was not weak but no match for his GSC.

The potency of well grown and properly mature Forum cookies is amazing. 65-70 days she becomes a real world class smoke. She can be easily cut before for the great flavor, but then it's nothing really special.
I could care less about the drama associated with who/what/where/why. Genetic testing is going to start getting cheaper, and when it does this whole cut renaming thing is going to go away. Granted it won't happen over night.
I finally got the 2.0 into flower after getting it about a year ago. It's smelling more grape to me than I thought it would. Don't get me wrong its not a dominant or strong smell, but I smell grape or sour bubble type smell a little bit.
It is only at 25 days so still a long way to go.

The fookie fam got bagseeds in st georges cherry pie kush a non stable line it hermed i believe due to light leak the seeds found are where we got the original girl scout cookies and og kush breatg etc.. the fookie fam named it cookies because st george asked to not call it cpk and to name it whatever they then crossed it with the florida og thus is what we know as gsc

I smoked a pheno of Blissful Wizard from Maine that had the Forum terps and a stronger buzz.
it was an improvement on the mom in several respects but maybe a worse yield from the size of the buds I saw.
the stuff was fabulous and I'd really like to grow that cut, they call it #32.
cuts through the airport are no problem, rooted in small rockwool are easy too.
put them in a tupperware sammich box in your bag, NOT in carry on.
no smell nobody's scanning bags for weed cuttings bro.
fly to the bay area and visit the rec dispensaries that carry DHN is what I'd do and don't wait long because the shit will be selling out soon as everyone ramps up for spring.

yeah the way I've seen people argue about the OG and Chem stories in the past I knew to start screen shotting everything as I saw it.
I only had to smoke it once and I knew OGKB cooks were going to make history.
finding the bagseeds cemented it for me to want to be able to trace the history even after people delete their accounts or edit posts.
my theory has been that OG Kush Breath was someone trying to stay secret while showing off in the Original cookie thread and hyping his product here.
I think he was either a well known member under a different handle here who didn't want to share with his friends so he created another name and never got 50 posts so nobody could DM him OR he was always one of the #cookiefam or someone in their circle who wanted to stay secret.
this shouldn't be a mystery still with everybody out in the open on IG and elsewhere but who's the real OGKushBreath?
