Pretty funny about Swerve's cookies looking like shit. lol I knew he had a fake and it was sooo funny watching him post up about how his is the real deal and he was building the Hype with their elite cut of GSC. LMAO

i saw the first batches of herb that the cookie circle was releasing almost 5 years ago, 2-3 years ago the frosty GSC cuts were already available...they look nothing like your buds. there was no "non purple pheno" that i ever saw, the first batches had alot of purple tint to them. maybe you're just a subpar grower and that nug you posted isnt a best representation, but the pics and videos you posted show plants that are nothing like what was pumping out of the circle growing these strains. there is a reason the "reworked" cuts are the popular ones, because they are better. if the first cuts were good than cookies would have been around in 2008 maybe even earlier. i saw many seeded pounds, samples, and even have some of the original beans from a seeded pack of "cookies" almost 5 years ago. i grew some out and they purple up tough but were prone to hermies...so this whole story of a non purple f1 dominant cut sounds bogus to me. ARE WE LOOKING AT THE SAME PICS? because your premature "f1 durban" cut looks terrible and that post is 0/10. i dont think any real grower would say those nugs look top shelf or even mid shelf.
creating hype? you're delusional, i have no interest in creating hype for this, im not a seed breeder and im not making any $$ off people growing GSC or buying GSC crosses. i made some crosses of my own that im gonna keep to myself and friends, i have NO INTEREST in selling seeds or making $$ off this hype...talk to the other breeders or the guys selling cookie sweatshirts about that.

pieguy and the others swear up and down that forum is not the real GSC, and it may not be. he could be correct it could be a special S1, but in all reality he has no control over someone deciding to make extra $$ and whore out a cut for a couple grand, it is suspicious because forum yields pretty low and the original cookie packs i saw had really big top colas, maybe the "real" cookies could be something more along the lines of the OGKB cut...i dont know about forums original source it was bought by a fellow ICmag grower and we never really questioned who he got it from, but animal was sourced directly from a good friend of pieguy. the original seeded packs i was talking about when i first started the GSC thread in 2010 were from pieguys circle. they couldnt sell seeded nugs at the club so they were brought to the brokers house where a couple graffiti writers were told they could keep the herb to smoke if they sorted through and picked out all the seeds, i ended up keeping 40 or so for myself. back then they werent calling things cookies that much, they had other nicknames like Sour Grapes, Purple Crypt, New Wave, that i remember.
now that i think about it, im tempted to dig into that bag and pop a few and see if something like the forum emerges. i remember the samples looking like a mix between new wave and GSC, not as frosty as forum but had that deep smell with lots of purple tint. i grew some before i really had my room dialed and they hermed but maybe il give them another shot. they have been sitting in the fridge for a long time now. i remember i showed a couple nugs i grew to the broker, i was calling them "super sour grapes" but he just looks at the nug and says "thats cookies"....that broker is one of pieguys friends who is always posting things about real vs fake cookies online, honestly sometimes i wonder if they even know what they are talking about in that danked out haze they are in.
really no need for drama, we just want to figure out once and for all whats the deal behind this damn strain! even if forum isnt the "real" GSC cut, its pretty damn good and very damn close.
