update on my OGKB S1's.

The strange plant that came from one seed I found in my first ounce of OGKB I called pre-forum.

The seed plant got horrible bud rot from the stem out so I didn't get to smoke much of it.

now I've harvested 2 more of this slow vegging pheno and I'm enjoying the taste of this one.
It's the loudest of the bunch and it really stings the nose with OG and headband smells more than anything like cookies.
It has strong body effects but finishes pretty functional.

At 70 days this time. the heads were still all clear with no sign of cloudy but I pulled them as I was feeling jump about the but rot.

this plant drinks way more than anything I've seen. it's always light.

Chunky pigs is killing it that pheno is nice very pretty looking..

Lyryc the problem I had with the forum was she stretched all the way up to my lights level and I wound up getting micro nugs. But the next level down buds are nice chunky fat buds.

Must say I wouldn't hesitate to run a full room of the forum Like sirsmokealot said she doesnt give huge nugs but if you don't lollipop her she gives you keeper buds all the way down. I'll have some shots of her when I pull her in another 7 days if I don't decide to take her past 70.

My lime cookies cut definitely smells more like "thin mints" to me than the forum. So far I am not getting minty menthol smells from the forum like I get with my lime cooks cut either way forum is still a nice cut to keep.

I've had this happen when the lights are too close and/or I overfeed her. I realized how heat/light sensitive she was after I did a round with 600's that yielded fatter nugs and about the same weight total as the previous round with 1000's. Not a huge yielder but those popcorn nugs do add up more than you'd think and she's pretty easy to trim which is a bonus since I do most of that my self.

Got some hand me down knowledge from some growmies.

cookies doesn't like the light.

Was told to put her in the corners lol, not directly under the light, she likes to stretch, and post up like that, and do her thing from there.

All my lower nugs are WAY fatter than the tops. Infact the tops are done, and its only day 47.

i got some good spots in my room to fit her needs.

thanks everyone.

The two things that really helped in the PK booster thing, and the light thing.

take a nice big toke from me for me, thank you

funny I have some testers in smaller pots under floros and they are looking better than the larger potted ones under my 600s...

Wondering if anyone is interested in making a boat load of OGKB S1s for seedbay server fund?

I would really like to catch that train................ toot toot. :)

The one's under the 600s are a week and a half further than the floros, but the ones under floros are already frostier and packing on more weight...

Obviously gotta compare once they're all chopped, dried, and cured, but for future rounds I might try and move my rezs out of the room and pipe them in, which would allow me to put another tray in the room under the AC that doesn't sit directly under a row of 600s.... or maybe just do some dedicated floro runs of cookies lol

Hey silver mullet thanks for the tips. Ya I noticed she don't like lots of food and where I have her in my tent is right in front of the door and she stretched right up to the hood glass. Those tops are micro nuggets but it's funny every level of buds all the way down get chunkier and chunkier the further she is away from the light. It's my first run with her indoors so I learned a lot next round will be a lot better.

Bad habits those 600w nugs look amazing and stacked up pretty nice! Awesome job!

Tptfw u always got some crazy bud shots with those elusive cuts.

This next round I am gonna put a forum or two in there with smaller pots and see if I can do her better. I'll drop some pics in a few days with the forum micro top nugs.

Some more points of comparison. All these are day 70, under T5 floros only, no HID lighting overlapped.

Great stuff Bad Habits.

I'm not sure if the cookies doesn't like the light too bright as much as she doesn't like the heat that comes with it.

My last round before this one was under 600's but I didn't control the stretch very well and ended up running out of head room. The smallest/shortest plant in the room ended up with the fattest nugs because it didn't get too close to the light. The big stretchy ones made tons of little popcorn buds in the center and the outer buds that were further from the light were bigger.

This round is my first under gavitas at 1150w and everything is much fatter than any previous round. I raised the ceiling up to 10 ft. (that was fun) and I have the lights as high as they will go so about 4 ft. from the canopy. I did a lot more weaving and tying down than I've done before, even through the first couple weeks of flower, just to keep things from getting too tall and too close to the lights.

I have also been keeping things a little more wet this round just because I figured they would be able to drink more with such intense light.

Canopy temps have been 78F or less which I think is the biggest factor in keeping the popcorn stretch at bay. I think lower like 75F would probably be even more ideal because I do have a few nugs in the very center of a couple plants that are a little stretched out.

I grow pretty big plants due to number limits. One plant in a 30 gal fabric pot of organic soil gets it's own light. Fresh air, no co2.

This is 3 plants. 2 (+/-) month veg. 46 days flower.

Bonus SFV shot. Still trying to figure this plant out. Have yet to make her 100% happy in the three rounds since I've had her. She still usually craps all over the cooks for yields but this round it might be close. Can't complain about her quality tho!

What are the particulars on that? Genetics/cut-wise.

Hey Mikell,

My good buddy gifted me this cut and told me it was the Platinum Cookies clone. He got it in the bay area from a trusted source.

I've compared it to another friends supposed "forum" cut and I would say it is pretty similar although it's hard to really say since he uses a totally different grow method from my own. I prefer my cut to his as it seems more potent and while I'm of course biased about that the lab test results backed that up (not that I put a lot of stock in test results at this point).

I've heard him complain about how finicky his cut is and how the yield sucks but for my own cutting I've really not had too many issues.

I'm really itching to pop this pack of bodhi's strange love (gsc x instant karma).

had to sign in to say you're the man

hey man, thanks!

I've been drooling over the pics in this thread you started for the past couple years. So many talented growers have posted in here such as yourself, Endur, Phillthy,Yes4Prop, etc., etc.

I'm pretty late to the party only having my cut for the past year or so but whatever I'm having fun dialing her in and I've ran quite a lot of different strains in that time but most of them fall well short of the cooks if it's grown right.

Still figuring out the new camera (sony a6000) so if it's alright with everyone I'll post a few more shots I just took before the lights came on.

This one I took right as the gavitas were firing up and they pulse a purple light apparently. Thought it looked pretty cool.

Silvermullet-

Those pics look incredible.

Besides the heat/light distance recommendation, any other things you could share in terms of dialing her in? I see you're in organic soil, so I'm guessing you don't do a whole lot of feeding?

I'm finishing my very first round with her, and it's farrrr from dialed. Any advice is appreciated.
