Yep - so sick of the money train "breeders" who sit with their bottle of silver thinking their helping...
NOPE - just banging out "strains" to rake in a quick buck - but hey - if they actually WORKED a seedline - they would miss the hype train - heaven forbid....
NO OFFENSE - but be honest...that is how it is.
Fact is - everyone selling FEM beans more expensive than regular beans is just INSANE considering how much LESS work goes into it...
I think at one time - there was a company called GHS - that we all hated for this VERY reason - don't know why we don't treat the other silver dusters the EXACT SAME WAY....we should.

Dont think that just coz we are releasing S1's that it means we wont be doing more in depth work with the GS Cookies, with the S1's its a simple matter of supply and demand. I try to remind myself of the saying "different strokes for different folks", for some people the S1's cant come quick enough.

they have gsc clones at oakland organics from medicinal organics nursery for $40 ea.. looked legit enough for me to pick one up.. its got that "lone baby leaf" thing going on at the bottom of the leaf... they have another gsc clone from another vendor got way skinnier leaves looks like my p2p gsc clone going for $100..passed on that one
I'm not saying they won't sell...they will. But just like d.f said why not just work it into a seed line for the masses who can't get the cut? It's not like the GSC is a solid worked line to begin with...its a multiple crossed strain that if I remember hearing right they had to go through quite a few seeds to find the GSC thin mint pheno? Wonder how many S1's it will take...who knows? There are already plenty of fakes being passed around from what i'm hearing/seeing and know people who have already started S1 seeds found in the cooks. All i'm saying is there are already plenty of fakes out there and i'm sure more to come with this S1 release. Somebody gonna try and cash in...passing out S1's as originals. Its already happened with Pre 98, The White, etc... It's all good though just my personal opinion. I'm sure there are people who disagree
so basically if you dont have a cut of the GSC yet, better hope you lock one down soon, cause its only gonna get harder to find the real deal amongst all the s1s,bagseeds,fakes
Oh Godamn it! I tried plus repping your post on my phone and it accendently pressed not helpful. I really apologize, much respect highersolution! I understand with why the s1s are being made, bc there is a market for it...but I agree though long term it's gunna be a clusterfuck for the clone world. Not saying there won't be something nice found. Once again my apologize on the neg rep, total accident while trying to plus rep it.
I definitely agree. We got other plans for sure....
Should be interesting to see what comes of the S1's but there is likely to be some variation.

S1 = attempt to gain market share - banking on a name - not on the reputation of the seed company or breeder....it takes ZERO talent and ZERO knowledge and ZERO skill.
I like CSG for their various m/f pairings - but don't even for one second try and pretend like you are doing anyone other than your own pockets a favor...
We have seen, time and time again - an S1 of a poly-hybrid DOES NOT result in a plant that is any more true to the mother than if you had taken a choice male to it. It does NOT breed a true offspring...period.
I will say this - at least you don't go re-naming S2 lines to confuse the masses and make yourself feel special....geeeezzzzz - that was SUCH a nightmare.

I want to say - CSG - has good intentions - to share with people genetics they otherwise wouldn't have access to. Intent of the heart is a good thing...
Without going into too many details - I'll give them the benefit of the doubt - but this does not mean I agree or that my opinion is any different.
What I am saying is - I am not going to constantly harass and belittle those that have taken a side moment to express their intentions - even if I don't fully agree with the methods employed.
I can only hope that the S1 seeds made - go to growers responsible enough to keep the facts the facts....
Last thing I want is another NMK episode - because trust me - the FIRST ONE OF YOU to take a Cookies S1 and rename it to something else - will catch the full wrath of my typing fingers.
