Ghost stories/Paranormal experiences

Was just listening to a podcast on Skinwalker Ranch and it made me think of a good ghost story my brother had told me. Figured what better place to discuss such happenings than the Toker's Den. :joint:

Ghosts, UFO's, Bigfoot, or anything that just can't be explained... Feel free to share it. :abduct:

I remember gazing at the night sky as a teen and seeing what looked like a slow moving satellite suddenly change direction and zip off like it had just engaged the warp drive.

That’s about the extent of my paranormal experiences.

1. A pair of experiences related to a friend dying in a head on car collision in So Cal in the early 80's.

2. A strange meeting with a Great White in 2002.

Loading up on the morning caffeine right now.

I saw a little forgettable 5’ Italian man walk onto a small stage, sit down on a stool, and before he struck a note, a 20’x9’ ovular bubble surrounded him and started playing tricks on the light.

Dude invited my date to his hotel party the next day the next state over and totally boffed her.

Sorry for being not amusing, but ghost, Ufos and all the other things don´t exist and every religion comes from myths and fables.

You say this, but when I got married my wallet vanished into thin air, never to be seen again....

I always make my gf hold my wallet, cash and all. People know I have problems saying “no”. Simplifies a lot of things “having to check with the missus, first”.

Also, nobody else ever picked up the check until I stopped carrying my wallet. Makes friendship a lot more bearable, all around.

I worked on Porsches in the early 80’s and lived in Desert Hot Springs. I drove a nice 356 home from work, I lived in the first row of houses, the wind was blowing hard sand blowing, so I decided to put it in the vacant houses garage next door. I could barely get the door open and had to prop it open so I could put the car in. I got true chicken skin shivers and felt strange in the garage. I shut the door went home and listened to the wind all night. The next morning the garage door was standing open. I was the only person on the street no one else lived on that block. It still gives me chicken skin talking about it...

My grandfather had pretty much the same story from when he was in the Navy in WWII. Said he saw what looked like a bright orangish-pink star moving across the sky, it stopped momentarily and then shot off at incredible speed. No sound at all. He also thought aliens, UFO's and such were total BS.

Paranormal experiences you say...letts start with a mild one...December 2009..night time about 10.00pm was doing something in my garden an I hear a slight electrical kind of hum. I look up wat do I see...I see wat can only be described like the sun..it was just a huge glowing ball huge easy50ft across if not more with the colour of the sun..the object would move forward alittle then go up and make a strange movement as if it was drawing a triangle in the sky then shoot foward again them do its triangle flight movment again.. I ran out to the front of my house wer a friend was waiting for me an told him to look too..we both saw this object move foward an then do its triangle shape an move forward again this it did another three times..then all ov a sudden it shot off with no noise...ther was no acceleration it shoot at speed instantaneously at the speed ov wat can only be described as a bullet being shot...then we realized wat it was doing..because a few minutes later traveling in the same direction wer two unlit big American black ops helecopters no warning lighting or anything an I dont even live in America..the object was I think dareing the helecopters to try an chase it or catch it up an I think may hav been taking the piss by making them odd movements so the primative helicopters cud catch up only then to just shoot off..this was a real life event an their was also a witness(my friend). Wen we discussed wat we saw we knew we both saw the same thing..wich was a huge huge glowing orb that only can be described as the sun flying around in the dead ov night.

I've never had any experiences myself that have convinced me of anything and I'm a pretty hard skeptic. I have heard some stories from both people who believe in this type of shit and those that don't--even after having an experience and retelling their story several times.

My brother's story was pretty interesting cause it happened over a period of time, my family as a whole shared experiences, and each had their own. Pretty much involved their condo having a haunting seemingly pop up out of nowhere before coming to a very curious end. It's lengthy as many of the happenings were very subtle and may not even be worth discussing, but a few stand out as just fascinating...

They would leave and return to all the lights in the place being on, after clearly remembering turning them off. In a dark room a stationary shadow would zip across the wall and ceiling and disappear once reaching the opposite side. My stepdad went into the bathroom once and saw a faint glow of light on the floor, almost like moonlight coming through a window. Except there was no window or possible source of light and upon returning to show everyone else it was gone. Everyone experienced cold spots at different times... I made the point to ask if they felt a breeze or draft along with it and everyone said no. My brother said it was different, not just like stepping into a freezer and feeling cold but chill you to the bone cold. My brother was watching TV by himself late at night and he felt the chill. Looked back and saw a featureless shadow-like figure drift from one end of the room and to the other before disappearing.

They left on a trip for a few days and when they returned again, all the lights were on and someone had taken the necklace at my moms computer desk and tied it into knots. Freaked them out cause they thought there had been a break in. This is where it gets interesting... There had been multiple phone calls from some random number (local) having repeatably called the house over the time they were gone. Mom decided to call back to see if it was someone she knew. A women answered the phone and my mom explained the many calls. The women had said that there was no way it could have come from her house because she had been on the phone all weekend making preparations for her husband who had died in a boating accident a month earlier and had been recovered a few days before. My mom gave a rundown of what had happened and mentioned the necklace. The woman told her that her husband was wearing a sliver, knotted necklace when the accident happened, followed by a long pause. They pretty much left off with maybe it was some sort of sign or something. After getting off the phone and talking about it they decided to look the death up for more details. Another curious thing to mention... The morning the boat wreck had happened they were on the beach a few miles away from where the incident had occurred. After the returned phone call it all just stopped. Weird stuff.

My stepdad always has thought that Ghosts, UFO's, and cryptids are total bullshit and still does believe that. My mom could see the Virgin Mary on her toast and think it was a sign, and my brother kind of goes back and forth on the stuff. Asked stepdad what he thought it all was several times over the years and he has always said "I don't think it was a ghost or anything, that shit's fake, but man was it weird."

Whether this stuff is real or not, man is the folklore and history captivating! I just wish I'd be lucky enough to have one of those WTF moments, would make life a bit more interesting.

Mainstream Academia etc. will only admit to 5 senses, when it's obvious that we have more than 5 senses.

Same for UFO's - how many thousands of sightings need to be reported by uniformed service personnel & other people you would normally trust ?

A LOT of people are TERRIFIED of not having "all the answers".

So they stay with the "group hug of the easily cowed", many of whom don't believe their own eyes - or fire-fighters.

... referring to all the fire-fighters who reported witnessing a controlled demolition on 9-11.
