Anyway, fuck the other site. I miss some of the members over there. They were good guys and they got caught in the crossfire between me and the moderators. Oh well. Life is less stressful without that place. And I have more time for the family.

how did the beds turn out, much mold?

Ya the SOG was ok. Alot of plants had little to no bud as they did not perform well in the super SOG. Mold was an issue.

Wont do SOG again like that.

Buckets or holes in the ground. I am done with SOG.

GG 2016 preparation

Found a new grow location. Spent much time and effort preparing for next year.

About 80 holes. Each hole is 40-80 liters of potting soil.

I dug a in-ground water reservoir, when finished. 7 FT wide x 13 FT Long x 1.5 FT Deep.
It will hold 1,000 gallons of water.

I also have a long ditch filled with clay. I will dig holes for potting soil and use the ditch to grow plants.

Next year is shaping up to be big. On site water storage, organic liquid fertilizer, 80 holes and a long ditch.

My prep work is over half way done. All that is left is finishing a little bit of digging on the water reservoir, drop the tarp into the hole and move 50 bags of soil on site.

I applied lime today to around 30 holes. I will reapply the lime in a couple months before the snow. And then again in April. Its hard to over apply garden lime and with the clay filled acidic ground I will need the lime to help me out.

The clay soil collects water in September but my plants will be out of the ground before this happens. During the dry summer the clay does not fill up with water like this, and the clay helps hold the moisture at root level.

One of the most physically demanding things I have ever done. Digging out 90 holes of nothing but wet, heavy clay. Moving it 20 feet and dumping it. Bucket full after bucket full. Week after week. Then digging the water reservoir. It will hold 1000 gallons of water. The amount of work is unbelievable. But I am hoping next year will be a massively successful year for me.

yo core that looks awesome man! i agree the best time to prep is soon as season is over and the trees still have their leaves so u can see which path the sun takes. i got some digging to do as well here pretty soon. cant wait to see how they grow next year! so far this year has been great for me. it makes up for the shitty year i had last year.

I am glad you had a great year friend! I will have to jump over and check out your grow thread. I do not do much on here as of lately, well most of the summer. Just growing and family. But i have some grow threads to catch up on this winter.

You are right about doing that late season tree trimming. Have to keep the sun coming. I have some tree trimming to do as well. I almost forgot about that. The digging is 95% done for me. I converted 9 holes into the water reservoir. So I will be running around 80 holes next year and also that big ditch I filled with clay. So I can easily run over 100 reg plants next year. I just need to find some solid performers for 58N and they have to be early flowering feminized. Not easy to find early flowering feminized seeds when you need 100 seeds. Thats $$$.

I am also buying Green weed block fabric from the UK. I am going to put it down. It will keep insects and weeds away from my plants and help me out considerably for next year. Just water once a week or every 2 weeks and then move out of the area.

This weekend I have to finish
-digging out the water reservoir and then laying down the tarp in the hole.
-Moving 50 bags of dirt to my site
-Applying Lime to all remaining holes, about 50
-Trim Trees and remove branches

Next couple weeks I will lay down the weed block fabric and then I will be done for the season.

Busy weekend for me. But the weather forecast is nothing but blue skies.

The area I will be using will be about 32 feet x 32 feet. (10 meter x 10 meter). I am buying a roll of Green Weed Block Fabric from the UK. 1 meter x 300 meter. Expensive stuff. With shipping its over 100 GBP. 1500 SEK.
