I'm in a c22 and trying to figure out the best posible way to get the most out of my light. I'm trying for 8 plants in 3 gal containers. I move the plants about every day. Looking for opions on my set up

600 watter in daystar ac hung with the width of the c22 or horizontally directly in the middle. it has been measured out and the 600 does well in the c22.

looks pretty good.. i'm running the same shit.. 400 hps in a c22. i'm about to chop up my first harvest which is 3 girls each in their own 14" depot pot. i vegged forever and lst'd and topped to create a nice even canopy with over a hundred nice tops.. but i took the shelf out so i have the entire verticle space to utilize. this makes everything much easier imo.

its hard to do much with the light.. its just not an 'ideal' floorspace for a single light. i like what you have done with the orientation tho. having the bulbs length run front to back is more efficient as it blasts lumens out to the far sides of the cab better. i have a large rectangular a/c hood in my cab so i didn't have that option. also the fluoros are a great supplemental system to have.

what i did was just rotated the plants randomly so each one had equal amounts of time directly under the light. it worked pretty well and also helped keep them on pace for waterings as the pot under the hps dries much quicker than the 2 on the sides.

one phenotype got much larger bud formations than the others but i am attributing this to the genetics mostly. my girls are ssh x ww so there is a lot of room for variation among phenotypes. my more 'hazy' girl stood taller than the other two and took much longer to fill in so i propped the others up to her height by setting books under the pots.

all i can think of is maybe look at vegging the girls longer and fine tuning your training regiment to fill up more of that space. my cab is filled wall to wall with big fat even buds.. about 30-40 big colas on each plant.

of course i'm assuming the pictured plants are near harvest.. what is the strain and what are you hoping for as far as yield?

Well it's Aurora Indica (on the outsides)and a cross I made, and they are coming down next week. I'm still trying to get over a 1/2 oz a plant, sometimes a little more. These are the first under 400, coming from 150's.

I started off scrogging with BJ over at OG. I'm doing a perpetual though

same problem here using a 400wt in a c-24 what im doing is I set up multiple hooks in the ceiling and I just move the light between different sets of hooks

bostrom...
i'd be tempted to put in a shade on that lamp and see how much difference it makes redirecting the light down to your babies... perhaps just knock something up for a demo and if it adds value then do something more permanent

aluminum foil on a pizza box? sure you can thunk up summin

for cabs or closets using scrog or sog is the go in my view.. .. then your canopy is working the light to the best advantage. I can see your putting the plants on tiers .. I find my plants tend to that shape naturally even tho they are all on same level

I stretch some plastic mesh... like coop wire.. this stuff is for climing plants... over the plants and then arrange the plants branches through the holes so the bud points to catch those precious rays. the plastic is curved kinda in the shape you got your plants.

good luck with it

so easily done...... dial yo shit homie...... I see a few things that you are doing that are not efficient..... first your containers are too small.... you need to rock at least 5 gal, the apical bud size is ratio to the size of the tap root..... larger containers = larger buds..... the thicker your marstem is the more and the bigger ur buds will be..... other than that.... SCROG.... or supercrop....... you want ABSOLUETLY NO light being wasted....... you can get around 1200g or 3 gpw off a 400....... my buddy is so nasty he can pull it off..... so check it, if you arent getting at least 1 gpw..... your wasting a significant amount of time, effort, money and electricity...... read up and pump the shit out of those ladies...... jus my o2.....

Rotation is the key my friend. Kinda like when you know the bike is right and you throw it in the corner real hard and deep and once the apex is crested you twist that right hand and feel the front end rise as you power out all sideways and shit as that big shit eating grin comes over your face as you know in your heart that corner just got shredded. Her is a link to my 400 watt grow. My light is stationary and felt led to some stretching but once I learned to rotate the girls the right way to share the love so to speak I learned to get over a pound with one little 400 watter with 15-18 plants.

hahahahaha..

i don't know about all that 3gpw bullshit tarbosh is trying to front.. nasty friend, ehh?

hahaha.. prove that.

but yeah just let those girls veg longer and train yourself a nice even canopy and your yields will definetely increase. if you start out with small plants with not many budsites that's all that is going to develop. i started 12/12 with WAY too many sites.. like 70 tops on each plant (they vegged for about 60 days) and then when they stretched and started to bud i just started pruning out all the sites that weren't going to get huge.. leaving just enough room for the 30-40 tops on each plant to make a huge mat of buddage. i should pull about a pound from my 3 girls.

i'm choppin tonight or wednesday so i'll post up some pics and shit.
