GET IT IN WRITING!!!

Morning! :D

Ever have to deal with someone who makes verbal agreements, then has difficulty remembering they made them? Wow! This is a friendly reminder to make your verbal agreements become written ones. Not only does it clarify the position for each person in the agreement, it also ensures they can't change their story.

:tiphat:

(In my opinion, my current landlords are delusional, forgetful, greedy and quite likely insane. Double Wow!)

Yup, and it usually involves money. Funny how that is someone owes you $20 suddenly they can't remember shit. Just like whatever I'll remember not to lend or front to you. Lol

The less the amount, the louder they scream. LOL If these people weren't such sad and pathetic representations of life, the whole situation would be hysterical. A comedy team, where one half makes promises they never remember and the other half tries to extort what isn't owed.

Some days you just have to shake your head and say... "Wow..." :bashhead:

I had a landlord that snuck into an actual retarded girls apartment to get in her big old tardliscious panty drawer for a sniff.

I'm thankful I Rent from family. It does have draw backs however.

Verbal contracts are only enforceable when a witness or two are present!

Thing about witnesses is they all recall something different. Writing is written in stone as much as it's specifically described.

Even getting something on audio or video is open to interpretation. That's why contracts are so explicit.

a proper written contract also includes start & end dates; if you leave it open to be paid back w/o having a due date then the courts (if you go that far) may decide it's an open ended contract, and payable anytime the borrower has enough to do so.

I always communicate by email or txt if I doubt someone. That way I have proof of what what said, agreed to etc, incase i need it later. This is essential with builders lol

Also, when people see my solicitors were copied in, they shit their pants. I would never say "Im telling my lawyers on you", they see the email address of a solicitor @ the biggest law firm in the country, as another recipient and thats enough.

I stopped making deals/going into business with ppl a long time ago. No money...no product. I’ve been burned so many times in the past, it’s not worth the headache. I find “friends” get less irritated if I say no to whatever they want, then to give in and ask for payment later! Some ppl lie, forget, and go fukn nuts when you ask them to close the deal! It’s fukn crazy, ain’t it?!!! Lmao! :biglaugh:
