Yuppppp almost time, so close so close! This is like waiting for weed to finish maturing.

My buddy sent me these cam pics from yesterday, and they have been on the water today for about 45mins and already got 3 nice walleye. Damn I should be there! Fuckers!

I might go out today we'll see if I can get my car fixed first

That first one is a sauger or saugeye isnt it? We got tons of those of things, like brown walleye. Good eating though.

Nice fish man

Never did much freshwater fishing with the exception of Brem, love those little things, eatin and catchin. I prefer saltwater, drop your bait over and ya never know whats on the bottom waiting. Some of them will pull you off the boat if'n ya wasn't strapped to it, yea, thats a 5gal bucket hanging next to the bigun in the 2nd an 3rd pic.

I've been jonesin since January, when I went ice fishing last...bout ready to go by some crawlers and try to catch some panfish...

Hey, nice bass SuperZero.

I used to like to catch some smallmouth near westover on a flyrod with little surface poppers. When you get a smallmouth on a flyrod the fish will do acrobatics and give you a nice fight.

Also some good channel catfish in that area after a rain and the water gets a little cloudy. They give a good fight too and don't want to come to the surface.

Sometimes if I was baitfishing, I wouldn't bring any bait with me and just catch crayfish under the rocks and use them. Guaranteed to catch a fish.

In the early 80's, I was supposed to meet up with a friend at the river to go fishing. While I was waiting there were several girls skinny dipping and I got some nice scenery. Now don't think I was like a pervert watching them, because they knew I was right there fishing and they were hooting and hollering at me. I regret to this day not joining them. I was too shy I guess.

Enough fish stories, I could write a book.

How did it go on the trout fishing. Try Owego creek starting at Richford and work your way up.

Ya, white Rooster Tail with a piece of salted minnow works great. I use to fish in Hale Eddy a lot.

Opening day of trout season and I managed to snag... 1 trout :woohoo:

That was after my buddy limited, caught this one, threw it back, and I most likely caught the same exact one, using the same bait he had just caught it on.

It seemed to be hit or miss though, as the creek was an unpleasant coffee color due to torrential rains this week. I made out better than my buddies dad who got... 0! He's been fishing for more than 25 yrs, so if didn't get any, it wasn't 'cuz I suck at fishing. He caught 2 other species, but no trout. Plus, we were all using the same variety of baits. Talk about getting dicked!

I managed to get my line caught in somebody elses, get stuck twice in a low hanging tree branch, and snag myself multiple times. The tips of my fingers are raw. I cut myself cleaning the trout, like an idiot. But it was a lot of fun. Saw an otter in the morning which was neat, pretty rare too. Looking forward to going back out soon.

Nice pickeral superzero. The markings are so cool on a pickeral. Before there were all the buildings around boland pond, I was ice fishing and caught a large pickeral that had 4 hooks in its mouth. It must have gotten away several times. I let it go too. Long pond is good for pickeral and panfish too.

I haven't been to Boland in years, but you pretty much have to have a boat to fish it because of all the surrounding vegetation or if you go ice fishing.

Long Pond use to have some enormous Tiger Muskies. That is a fun place to go to and very peaceful.

All the best to you and catch a whopper.

Lake Sakakawea, The walleye are plentifull. We fish year round. Standing on the ice watching the sun go down is beautiful. Ice houses are great place to stay warm drink, smoke, cook up some of the fish that you catch. Summertime being in the boat listening to the waves hit the bow, water mist in your face. Hanging out with your friends and children great family time. ood thread
