Supercharger, RE, Rhizotonic, etc, aren't really intended for initial cuttings. A simple hormone like IAA or IBA, vitamin B1, and a tiny High Phosphorus food supply for when roots are finally established are. Personally, I use hormex, or KLN, by itself until I have a rhizosphere to actually colonize. For the phosphorus boost, I'll use an MPK or cheap bloom booster like monsterbloom, koolbloom, or pk13/14 etc. I spray my domes with a B vit and kelp If I have it... Or... There's tap water!

Why can't it?. A video shows cuttings in an aerocloner doing a side by side of RE treated and untreated cuttings.

I have IBA and other technical grade hormones, but I keep those for tissue culture work. I have issues with IBA when I make solutions of it, but it needs ethanol to make it into a solution and that costs money.

And I'm just a cheapskate :) I generally agree with what you are saying but a sample bottle of say 20ml, that I got for free can potentially treat over 500-1000 cuttings. I think its better than tap water for rooting speed and success.

It absolutely will! almost every gel, powder, or solution will have IAA/IBA in for super cheap. I loved the supernaturals powder rooter back in the day.

ogbiorwar.com/product/root-pack. FUCK everything else. almost twice the microherd than voodoo juice at a 1/3rd the price. like 1/24th price if you brew a tea from it. 1tsp/gal at every weekly res change. This shit is incredible. better than og voodoo juice, or old roots excelurator.

OGbiowar was just proven by Oregon dept of Aig to not contain shit it claims to.

From the test results claim-
OG Biowar Root Pack Beneficial Dry Registered Bacillus spp.
Test results showed>>>>>> 600 cfu/g
OGbiowar claim>>>>>>10,000,000,000 cfu/g
Artesia, California Microbes for Edible Pseudomonas spp.
Test results showed>>>>>>Not Detected (nothing, zip, nada)
OGbiowar claims>>>>>>10,000,000,000 cfu/g
Crops Trichoderma spp.
Test results showed>>>>>> Not Detected (nothing, zip, nada)
OGbiowar claims>>>>>>10,000,000,000 cfu/g

Just another product of toilet water being sold to marijuana growers.

Full thread and results here-The links provided in the first post are safe.

I read the test. Unfortunately there are too many variables as to why the test proved so low. I have had great results, and I'd do anything to save money and get the same results. Though I hate AN, Voodoo Juice worked great, but the ridonkulous cost of some poop, and water kills me. RE worked great for years, but has sucked as of recent. Roots-pack Kills it, and I don't really care what the state of Oregon test prove or don't.

I hear ya man. I guess if the stuff were meant to been kept cool or had a expiration date the company's owners would send the shit in cooled trucks and recall the old lots. But even with variables, no matter how old or how it was stored, there should still be some trace of life with a claim of all three being 10 million cfu/g. Nothing short of boiling or freezing would cause that. Sure looks great on a label tho, lol

While it used to be my job to know what was in salts, amendments, Vitamins, "enhancers" etc, Thank god, it's not anymore. I read the claims, didn't seem fishy, some people had results, and I have too. I would assume there would be trace elements of these strains completely left out. It could also be a just a PDF someone wrote to make something look good, or to hide from who's really testing. One thing I noticed from the test is most of these product were just trichoderma,, baccilus SPP, etc. There was AN's Pirahna, which I know is not even close to being what they claim. I also noticed there was no Voodoo Juice.. Isn't that the true microbial root product? probably the closest product to the Root-Pack???

I would like to have seen what test results would be on Voodoo Juice also.
Other than that, I seriously doubt someone at the Oregon Dept of Ag woke up one morning and said, "Hey, today would be a good day to go in and fuck over OGBiowar and some others."

Also a question and answer for ogbiowar on there site-

Q: How long will this stuff last?
A: Approximately 2 years from the date of purchase, as long as you keep the packs out of direct sun and under 85 degrees. You may place the packs in the refrigerator but please do not freeze your spores.

So it being an old pack was probably out of the question. Also doubt a hydro shop would have kept the store temps above 85 or below 32 degrees. Guess stranger things have happened.

from a guy behind the store counter, and a guy behind the desk of a nutrient distributor on the west coast.. products are often fucked before even getting to the distributors warehouse, or to the retailer.. let alone the end user. I cant tell you how many times Sensizym exploded in a stretch wrapped pallet from heat expansion, or shit turning to salt rock, or mold forming on the tops of organics. It's too costly to ship climate controlled.

I hear that. I had a friend here that used to own a hydro store and some of the things that came would make you wonder. Being locked/transported in the back of a truck on a 110 degree July day defiantly doesn't help things.

I run a DIY aero/nft hybrid system and OGBiowar gives me almost instantaneous root rot. I think its due to the high molasses content in the brew feeding not only the beneficials, but the bad bacteria as well. It also clogs the misters and gunks up the plumbing in my system and causes all kinds of algae growth. I think its more designed for dirt/coco

I keep it simple with rooting products. Clonex gel into peat pucks. ..rock wool or root riots (there all the same to me). After roots strike and get decent i use GO BioRoot. Gives me the same results as the expensive small metal bottle stuff. A coco specific base nutrient (choose a brand - they all give similar results.- trust me) and weekly kelp/fulvic/yucca foliar sprays in veg and early.flower. Alternating with neem oil here and there. Thats it. Ive tried everything in them stores. For decades.
