Thanks for dropping by J.

I think that it might be that I was only feeding 1tsp per gallon of the Flora Nova. I have now upped that so we will see if this takes care of the problem.

Day 32 of Flower:

I am still experiencing the yellowing and dieing off of some of the leaves which has me a little concerned but outside of that pretty good.

I am experiencing some yellowing in the center of the canopy which you can see in the 2nd pic above. I was thinking this might be a Nitrogen deficiency? Since I am using the Happy Frog Soil and thoughts on how to kick the N up?
Still having this issue. Any ideas?

whats the EC/PPM of your solution?

Im going to start using floranova as well, so I am very curious as to why your plants are yellowing.

anyways looks good man, keep it up.

So I am finishing up the trimming on this one right now and it looks like I am going to pull HALF of what I had actually hoped for.

I learned several things from this grow:

A) I don't particularly care to grow in soil. Maintaining the proper moisture content on a consistent basis definitely isn't my strong point.

B) Be VERY careful about giving them a flower booster while early in flower. I had attempted to emulate Rez's method of dosing early with Koolbloom powder but it only made the girls mature much faster than they should have without the corresponding bud development.

C) Comparatively speaking I LOVE growing in coco. I have 11 plants several weeks into flower right now (2 GDP, 9 Urkle) and the result are quite literally night and day.

D) Picking up a thermostat controller to turn the lamp exhaust on and off according to grow room temp. Having it maintain a constant 70 degrees is what I am shooting for.

E) Going to pick up a cycle stat time to control the exhaust out of the room. Since my intake is passive so I need to make sure that I am exchanging the air as many times as need be over the light cycle.

Does anyone know how many times per hour you are supposed to exchange the air out of your flowering room?

Thanks for watching and sticking in there. All in all it wasn't the yield that I was looking for but it was certainly a "growing" experience.

Now in the meantime here is some Root Porn to get you by. This is a shot of the girls being transplanted from a 1 gallon pot to a 2 gallon pot.

She is in 100% coco:

Looking nice! Not that it matters, but I sympathize with your somewhat blurry pictures. I struggle to get a clear shot.

Thanks for posting a GDP grow. Have the plants you're running turned purple for you in the past? If so, What were your average day/night temps?

Waiting on some Pakistan Chitral Kush, Should I be as excited as I am to try those out?

Looks good. Here in the Midwest we would kill to have GDP clones. I've seen GDP seeds but they are fem and I've been told fem can fuck the whole garden up if the genetics aren't solid

Hahaha... Yeah, my room was a little too packed with other crap to get a clear shot.

This is actually only my 2nd time running this strain with the first having been documented earlier in this thread. With most of the purpling that is taking place at the tip of the plant it is highly unlikely that this is true GDP. For what it is though I am really looking forward to trying out the finished/cured medicine. It really has a very unique smell to it.

My temps dip down to 62-63 degrees lights off with lights on sitting around 72-75.

Depending on the final outcome I will have to decide whether or not she stays in my garden.

I am currently sexing out:

Pakistani Chitral Kush
Jazz Berry Jam
Purple Berry Diesel
Space Chimp

Out of the 6 PCK's I have sexed 3 with 2 of those being male. I still have to check on the other 3. Once I know for sure which ones are females I will grow them large enough to take 4 cuts from each and let them battle it out over a 1,000 watt HPS to see who gets to stay!

Waiting on some Pakistan Chitral Kush, Should I be as excited as I am to try those out?

Well, the PCK's are cool... so far nothing to write home about on a personal basis.

The one strain that I just began working with that really has my heart pumping is the Purple Berry Diesel. These beans BURST open within 24 hours of placing them into the paper towels.

awesome thread!

awesome thread!

very nice thread Blaze, i read through the whole thing and , it truly made me rethink my plans for my next grow. I really enjoyed your GDP grow although you didnt get the results you were hoping for, everyone makes mistakes, and we learn from those mistakes. i am currently a newbie grower and at my second grow just using soil and General Organics nutes, but once seeing what flora nova could do i am very intrigued to start Flora Nova in my next grow.. Thanks for this Awesome thread!:thank you:
P.s keep up the awesome work! im inspired:bow:
Stay fligh and high:joint:

thats how it is man every grow you learn something and move on....such a long learning curve we are all trying to achieve that eventual "locked in"...

interesting points about soil....i also have a hard time maintaining moisture levels...some days they dry out quicker, some days they sit and stay moist....makes it hard to time everything, i might be making the switch to coco as well been seeing LOTS of really nice samples of coco grown bud from friends..

also that does look like urkle more than GDP.....real oaksterdamn GDP gets nice fat top colas and purples up quick in week 7-8...
