Heya brother..yea im gonna build a dripsystem..I must say that i found that most of my early troubles with coco came from actin like a lil bitch and not lettin go of the soil mentality..i started seing the same symptoms right after transplant this round too and thought fuck it. Must be the watering frequency..now im watering twice a day and the girls are loving it..i believe im gonna go the same route as you and feed em 5 times a day in peak flower..gotta keep that shit wet!!Looking good GDK, are you going to build a drip system? How often will you be watering? Feeding in coco 3-5 times per day with run off has incresed my yields by at least 30%.
G'Luck

Hi there GDP,
I've been following you efforts taking on coco, and must say that you honesty is much appreciated, and helping me to learn.
What happens ime with packed water, is that excess calcium throws of magnesium causing def.
When this is once realised, the plants have allready been feeding slowly causing buildup=imbalances=ph++++.
According to the water print out, in your bicarb thread, there is a 6:1 relationship in calcium/magnesium.
If you add your own cal-mag the relationship is 3:1.
Why not play it safe, and cut out tap alltogether?
When treating coco as dirt, watering every 2-3 days, one can get away with not using ro using the 0,9 soup background lime groundwater. Only experiencing minor issues.
But doing it the hydro way, one is in for a buildup, having packed, inbalanced water like that.
I'm using canna aswell, and have had fails because of buildups.
Now I allmost failed trying to avoid buildups feeding too lightly.
"The canna dilemma"
A lot of growers say don't feed more than 1,4 ec in veg.
With canna, this is the absolute minimum, when following their guide.
Watering stragegy is a major element also.
Anyways, I have no intend launcing any discussion here, but very interested in knowing how you go about it.
Best of luck dialing in.
Will be dialing along right with you.
Hey man and thanks for peeping the other thread too. Like i just told HGO i believe my soil mentality was actually responsible for most of the troubles i had..I did however adjust my inital ec before adding nutes, from .4 to .2, mixing tap and RO. It seems it fits the girls just right..I learned not to rely on runoff last round, but looking at it right now, it looks perfect. EC same as goin in, and pH 6.3-6.5. Im feeding @ 1.2 EC/5.8pH btw.
I snapped a few pics today..gonna flip em tomorrow i think. i topped em all once, except one SD that got tied down to fill the table right. Im pretty damn impressed so far, and i feel i am finally gettin the upper hand on this coco stuff..
Pics in next post..
