jaws..let me clear that up..sowing some seeds of BubbleDust..already have the seeds..
was looking at seedboutiqe at some kush and Destroyer too
You can scrap with GCG if you like..plants could use the CO2.. :dueling:

GCG.. :biglaugh: Ever since I put in that salad bar..all kinds are showin up.. :canabis:
Yeah a lot of that high tds is the soil over enriched in the soil mix..and too much dolomite..that keeps pulling the pH back above 7.0..
I think Soma said this could be beneficial to water with low pH water and let the pH slowly get pulled up to the buffer..
A moving pH would cross optimal points for all the nutrients..something like that...
So that's what I'm doing for now...till the dolomite gives in..but I'll do another flush soon as well..

GMT.. :biglaugh: Right on GMT..yeah we sure pick up some garbage cruisin around..glad you're all good..

update with pix soon.. :Bolt:

Your gonna purchase a destroyer for your kushy bubble dust? Man, you are a tough taskmaster!!!! :biglaugh:

Additives / organic / TDS - it all has me a bit  Organics aren't supposed to register on the meters, no???

I had the same problem now with like 4 different soil mixes, one of them was 1 part FFOF mixed with 2 parts FFLW. That should have had much less organic ferts, and the soil still went hot. Still working on figuring that out....

GMT - *you* get carried away??? Naahhhh, I dunna believe it....

The Salad Bar at Shanti Town

Growdate: Day 27...4th & 5th Node...18/6 Veg..RH 40%..Temp 76F/24.5C (Growdate from dry seed)

MGJ..A lot of organics are slow acting..but I would think fert..org or not would show up..
What I want to do and can afford to do right now are two different things right now..

jaws..yeah I like Sug's Kush..I was lookin at that..I want buds too.. :woohoo:

They have been getting bubbled 5.2 water..I now think this is the bone meal..driving up the pH...they get real happy after the water..
Oh well they're still doing real well..thick stems..a few CW's at 5 nodes super-tight right now..the AD's are tight to most at 4 nodes..
They needed the humidity..it is so dry here..all in all still on track..

Step up to the Salad Bar...They already stink :nanana:

My sentiments too  The bottom line is how they look, and your leaves look fab, no tip curl or burn, nice dark color.... Greens for the Cosmic Salad Bar... Nah, they need the leaves more than me right now!

 This pH is crazy..the last runoff tested 7.0 for a good while or so..excellent...I left that sample and overnight it slowly went to 7.7..
checked the meter..cleaned the probe..tried it again..yep 7.7..got to be the f#@*'n bone meal..
Well I only have to deal with this till they are sexed..then repot.. :drum:
I'll just give um a mini-flush(half pot worth) every other day or so..alternate nute organics and just water.. I guess..and a few folier feeds..
There are signs on the leaves all is not right yet..but it's getting better..me thinks.. :woohoo:
They are using up the water faster now..so that's good..

You can try watering with more acidic water less often. With this latest soil run early on I had to water with pH 4.5 water to get the final runoff down to 6.5 or so, then they would drift up from there. Now I can get away with 5.2 water. If I hit them once or twice with water more alkaline than that, they drift up way too fast and I have to use more acidic water for a while.

And this is without any added dolomite or bone meal - just FFOF + FFLW... :yoinks:

Yeh they are looking real good man. That bubbledust looks really good in the first pic you showed. Curious if the beans will look that good. Im sure they will as Doc seems to know what hes doing.

MGJ..yeah I get more agressive going acid each time..last was 5.2..

This is from MyNameStitch's thread:
Note: Blood Meal, Dried Blood, Guanos, Kelp Meal, Cotton Seed Meal, Peat Moss, Sulfur and fish meal are all acidic and can bring your ph down, so if you add these please monitor your ph when using those.

Note: Bone Meal, Rock Phosphate, Wood Ashes pretty much all ashes, Shellfish Compost and Crab Meal are all alkaline and can make your ph go up, so if you add any of these please monitor your ph.

Ocean Forest:
A powerful blend of Pacific Northwest sea-going fish, crab meal, shrimp meal, and plenty of our own earthworm castings, Ocean Forest Potting Soil is nature's finest soil amendment. Fox Farm has added composted forest humus and selected peat mosses to create the optimum organic medium for a versatile planting environment.
Ocean Forest Potting Soil contains earthworm castings, bat guano, and micronutrients. It is light in texture and well aerated...a premium blend of good things from the earth and the sea.

Looks like you would be in balance unless the Crab and shrimp meal get out of hand to drive pH up..

Jubei..right on man..check out the BD Grow & Bud porn links in my sig..My grow from seed to end..the porn is a chronological pictoral quick version..

:wallbash: :wallbash: Hey PN2P I thought I would bash my head into the wall with you so you didn't do it by yourself.

The PH can be a real problem , but your plants don't look like they are suffering at all. :woohoo: I don't know , I think organics are real finnicky. Maybe it's just me, but I almost feel like I need to be a chemist to make them work.

You are using RO water right? I have seen crazy fluctuations in PH from tap water.

Your plants look great bro.

Man not again, the last time crabs caused me a problem - hey, that wasn't in the garden :pointlaug :asskick:

Lotsa folks don't even check FF soil with meters and do fine, so it's gotta be me and / or my water....

Either way, as long as the buds grow... :joint:

GCG..It's not killing me and the approach seems to be working..This is the exact opposite of what I usually deal with..
This is the first time I fortified the soil with blood, bone and dolomite..my math must have been off..
I wanted to compensate a little this time..because I always deal with low pH in peat..well I went too far I think..but not a disaster..
I'd do it again, just less next time..repot after sexing I'm not fortifying the soil..just liquids.. :chin:

Water: I'd like a RO system, can't keep buying it or too lazy to..Pur filtered tap..I have to wait and let the pH settle over [email protected] down it..
RO 5.0 would be better though..

MGJ..Your girls got crabs.. :pointlaug

It takes a special group when something like this...

And this is without any added dolomite or bone meal - just FFOF + FFLW...

can lead to this...

I didn't say so before packn, but I didn't read the label closely enough to see the rotting crustaceans and fish. Good catch ( no pun intended ) :pointlaug

Growdate: Day 30..5th & 6th Node..Veg.. (Growdate from dry seed)

Definitely two different strains here..they are the same age and maturity, but the CW's are much bigger..
The AD's are just under 4" tall the CW's 6" ...AD1 has 6 nodes in 3 3/4" of height :yoinks:
Talk about tight nodes..I'll get a node shot later..
Girls are looking good for the most part...removed the Perlite garnish from the CW's for now..the AD's are just too short..
The leaves touch so I like to keep clean Perlite under the leaves..after they dry a bit more I'll put a new layer on the CW's..
Even the runt AD is doing good now..

Still a little water logged...All for now..

AD's Cream color pots...CW's Green...In order of germ by strain L > R, F ^ B
