Right on..thanks dyren.. 
Man sure has been quiet this last week..Holidays and all that..well me too..going out of state for a week..
so the BD clones are coming out of the light about a week early..
I'll pull um next Wednesday..
probably leave them half watered and put um in a dark closet till I get back..this will buy me time till harvest..
so no overdrive or anymore nutes..started the flush tonight..
the seedlings are growing quick now..gonna top them tomorrow..so it will be..1st true leaves..1st multi-finger leaves..then topped..
Chickened out at cutting after 1st true..plus I think the 3 blade leaves will help speed the recovery
I think I'm gonna transplant the seedlings into bigger pots right before I go..so the water will last a week..while the roots grow to it..
This is my only post tonight..bedtime..no time..maybe some pics tomorrow..

Yes - it's been a bit slow - holiday time - for me too - it sure is nice to ease down from the redline once in a while though

Hey MGJ I decided to combine your thread and GMT's with another experiment..I topped the seedlings back to the 1st trues on 3 AD's..and 2nd trues on all the rest..
So I thought I would see if I could clone the AD tops..I only have about an 1/8 of an inch(3mm) in stem to work with..
I'm using Rootech gel and upside down Rapid Rooters in dark coffee mugs..so we'll see..worst of all I'll be leaving..I figure I can put them in party cups soaked..if it looks like they may make it..

MGJ..what a vacation..on the drive home I got stuck in a blizzard for 3 days..the plants took on some damage going completely dry but they seem alive..
here's the sick part..those stupid cuttings rooted only an 1/8 inch of stem and the rooted..
unfortunately they dried up and died beyond repair..but I know it can be done..so where do you need that clone river installed..hehe

I'm gonna do it again in the future..two plants for one that can be flowered together..hmmm

Glad to hear the main genetics are recoverable - can't say I'd be hopeful 1/8" clones can take a good drying out - but at least they're easy enough for you to re-create.
I hate leaving my girls - always seems they express their unhappiness with being left alone in some fashion... How are the work hours looking in the near future - gonna be able to cut them down to normal???

I have been looking for some kind of set up to water the plants so we can take a holiday. We are gonna pot up some clones in veg into 1 gallons and water the hell out of them.. hopefully they will survive 8 days in veg.. I can't see keeping flower going with us gone.. too risky I think.

MGJ..I thought they had a shot..they were still looking viable after three days..at least it was just clippings I normally throw away anyway..
Jenna..I think you got it right Jenna..that was what I was gonna do exactly..the soil where there is no roots stays moist a long time..and it gives the roots incentive to grow to the water..potting up is the best way I think or automation..

Right on BeAn ..
I wrote something about my drying/ finishing of the BD clones..rather than type the same thing..I'll just C & P it here
I did not have time to harvest before I went out of town for 10 days..
So I soaked them with water and put them in a cool dark closet..I found before that the plants will seem to stop in time..and last a long time in the dark..
I've let a plant sit in the dark for 21 days from last water and light and watered it put it back in the light and it continued to grow..
Anyway the BD clones were put in the dark at about 56 Days flower..and looked the same as when I put them in there 10 days prior..
I accomplished what I wanted..but another factor..I'm lazy and busy..so I let them sit..and sit..parts of 3 plants are still in there..and are dying on the vine..
It's been almost 30 days in the dark..Even without a cure this is the best BD smoke so far..the flavor radically changed..more skunk like..and smooth as hell..
The high is powerful..but not too narcotic as I thought it would be..a friend tried some samplers..
he said "I don't know where you got that stuff..but that guy knows what he's doing..that shit kicked my ass"..hehe I'll tell him you said that..
Well I tried some of the 30 day dark stuff.."that shit kicked my ass too" I was floored by the flavor and high..it's now my favorite jar..
Bottom line..I'm thinkin there is something to the "dark period" after flower..you can see a chlorophyll break down or absence in new growth areas..leaves go albino..
So far 1 confirmed male with big balls ADCW..and that's it
7 confirmed females AD 4/4 female..ADCW 3/4 female 
Now I got TML16's problem..too many females..BTW they are still under 18/6 light..preflowers always show for me on AD & BD about 25 Days veg..
Actually 25 Days seem to be my magic number for preflowers on just about all I've grown..
I've heard some strains may need to be flipped to 12/12 before they show preflowers..but so far I've never had to on a single plant..
I believe in sexual maturity before I flip..that's just me..
Now I have to see if I have enough soil to repot..these babies are rootbound and can consume their water fully soaked in less than a day..

Very interesting experiment my friend - one side benefit of your very busy work hours - you're developing methods to deal with the time demands. This is a good one - never would've thought of it - only downside I can think of is yield - can't bulk up without chlorophyl and light - but if you already have enough mass on the plant it's a non-issue. And what else can you do when the ladies are almost but not quite ready? Good thinkin...
Plants are looking very happy, supah sex ratio too - keep doin what yer doin...

Growdoc..I think I've only had 1 AD male out 9 plants..I like the AD..
the high isn't as profound as the BD, but the smoke is easier on old tired lungs and the high is good for functional activities..

most were topped so the main stalks are the 2nd to the bottom node..wanted to try a variation to see how much progress differed

But at the end..at chop time..shelving seems to work good..
They stay fairly fresh for about 3 weeks..trich balance doesn't seem to be effected..but I'm not certain of that..
