Gathering pollen from a runt........ NEED YOUR HELP!!!

As you can see he is a RUNT! im trying to do a seed crop and unfort. he's my only male and unfort. i have NO pollen to waste because i need alot of seeds for my next project. So how would you go about collecting the pollen? My room is like a desert right now cause my AC died and i have another month until i can grab a new one so until then its running 90F with the fans BLASTING which makes it hard for me to collect pollen if its flying everywhere....

PLEASE HELP! :(

Start over and pick a real male, not settle for something less. Why people wanna do crosses with the only male is beyond me. Might as well start off right. If you goal is just to chuck some and make seeds, you did something wrong, or you would have enough pollen. Perhaps you should have grown him larger before you flowered him. Good luck. Peace GS

GuerrillaDidgi, why not just flower him along side your females and try and get an open pollination from your fans blowing the pollen?

is that an auto? or is it a true runt(lke was it the one seed that great that big while all the others got way bigger, i.e. a slow vegger) or was this just started in 12/12 like from seed? cuz if its a true runt i understand crusader_rabbits point of view, but if its just a seed that started in 12/12 and never got very big, shit it could b sour d and jst b a small plant...
as far as collecting pollen go look up collecting pollen.... ud do it the same with this male as any... good luck...
btw wat strain is this?

dude, cmon....I have never even done a seed crop but it is basic knowledge that you are supposed to start many plants and pick the choice male and female, some people select males on how early they flower, vigour, smell, etc. Doing a seed crop with only have one male available to pick from (espically since that is probably the worst male anybody has ever attempted to make seeds with, no offence) is just a huge waste of time...why would you want to collect pollen from that POS? You want your offspring to look that way to? Cmon man....

that was the ONLY male i got and im all out of seeds :( and its autoflowering thats why i posted it here so when they flower is on there terms not mine :/

I heard you say its your only male and I know you are all out of seeds. If you want to do it right you must order lots more seeds and pick your choice male and female....How many seeds did you start with man like 5? You need to start A LOT of seeds to be able to pick from a nice selection dude....You must start over and that is the only proper advice you will receive. Go on seedbay and order some seeds, I just got 15 lowryder #2's for 30 bucks made by a member on here named dread.

grab a zip lock baggie, take the plant far away from anything flowering, hold the plant sideways with the top portion male parts in the zip lock, gently tap the stem of the plant. go away and do this again in a day or 2, rinse and repeat, if you're real paranoid put the ziplock into another ziplock....i like to actually leave a slightly open zip lock inside another slightly open ziplock upside down with the inner ziplock folded over, just to allow a bit of air exchange

it only takes 1 of those staminate male parts to produce a shit ton of seeds if the pollen is viable

...i am using some plants right now folks would call runts, the thing is they are autoflower genetics and they were started outside in the late fall, so everything looks comedically tiny! my point with that, is that we just have no clue what the plant is or how good the male is just based on this picture of a tiny guy

some people openly pollinate, pros and cons for it just like selecting a single male and single female that you are suggesting

My runt is crap genetics i just want to give it a try and then have a bunch of "throw away" seeds plus it would be good practice to make some legit genetics in the future with good plants but right now i just want to mess around, learn and have some fun lol

Put a cup on top make a greenhouse affect. Pollen wont go anywhere. But man don't know what happened with that male.

What do you mean we cant tell how good of a plant it is from the picture? It is an auto flower, and the only runt from 10 seeds. This is not a case of flowering to early or anything like that as it is an auto, I dont understand what you mean when you say your auto flowers are small because you started them late outside....its not like they would start flowering any faster in the fall then any other time of year so as long as the weather was ok for it to finish i dont get what you are saying? Is it because the days are shorter in the fall so they dont have as many hours of direct light? that plant the OP posted is just a misfit runt. I have grown auto's and came across these runts...they are worthless plants that never get more than an inch tall and take just as long (if not longer) to flower there .3 of bud as a normall auto does to grow to a few feet and yeild an ounce. I would never do a seed crop with a stupid plant like that...but to each his own.

And yes I am aware of open pollination, but if that plant was the ONLY male available and know other males to throw some pollen around as well then no way would I even attempt to use it, as I said I have seen runts with auto's and they are always shit and I'd imagine some of the offspring would be fine but I there will definitly be problems IMO...but smokefrogg seems to have much more knowledge then me about seed making so I am just stating what I WOULD do and not talking from experience

Yea man have fun with it Im not trying to be rude or offensive I hope I am not coming off as such. As i said I have never done a seed crop so I am just trying to expand my knowledge :) I am sure if you do a seed run with that male you will have some nice plants in the offspring, its not like they will all be runts or anything and if all the genes are auto flowering the offspring will be too. Good luck man I'll be watching to see what happens with this
