Garden Layout need Input

I'm beginning construction on a green house here shortly and I just need some input on plant spacing. Assuming you plant it in the ground and let it grow with only standard training and loli-popping (no extreme trellising or tying it over to the ground), what is a good rough estimate for the footprint of a 1 lb plant? For simplicity's sake lets assume I use a run of the mill sativa/indica hybrid with standard growth characteristics. I've grown a few 1/2-3/4 pounders in my day and if memory serves me they were about 4ft in diameter and 6 ft out of the dirt. If anyone could throw in their 2 cents on the bigger trees it'd be much appreciated - thank you

5.5 ft tall x 5.5 ft wide has gotten me a little over a pound in the past with normal topping and light supercropping, obviously you understand there are variables to that. Depending on strain, hours of direct sunlight etc.

My idea of a recipe for big plants are similar to most. Get strong growing strains out on time, for us its the last week of may at the earliest without having to use supplemental lighting (clones). Good root space, good dirt and lots of direct sunlight, etc. etc.

You know the drill brother good luck with your future ventures!!

Reading your post again I realized I dident fully answer the right way lol. Like I mentioned before 5.5 ft wide by 5.5 ft tall is about the size to expect for pounders and with some strains that size will produce pound and a quarter to pound and a half. But also like I mentioned those things vary on how many hours of direct sunlight you get, strain etc.

So if I was you I would space your plants at least 6 ft from center, that's roughly the spacing for our outdoor garden and that's pushing it when growing 1.5 lb plants with most strains. Then again I do top heavy early in the year and do light supercropping.
