I have a c-24 I'm setting up right now. You can definatly get it to be odorless with negative pressure, and a carbon filter. Light tight is also easily acheived. The damned thing is huge also. I took out the top shelf and have about 3 1/2 feet to grow in thats with the light and tubs.

The noise part would be a little harder to acheive tho. It won't be bad, but the fan and pumps if your going hydro do make noise. It's not overly bad, but it is noticeable. I have an AC and fan running in the room so that masks it. If you just run a fan or fishtank that would easily hide the noise from the cab.

Sorry if it's not the advice you're looking for, but all I can offer lol

spend youre money alot better. i spent alittlt over 500 for my set up, and yes mine is light and smell proof, and when i piut my scrubber on it is allmost silent. that way you can spend the left over money on seeds and clones

thanks for the info, what do you mean by when you switch your scrubber on it is silent? how much noise is given out? is it quiter than a pc running? surely your cooled tube and fan exhaust makes some noise?


your grow room looks fantastic but can you tell me how you have set up your ventillation? if your fan is pulling air in from outside and through your cool tube when does it exchange the air inside your can and around your plants

LG, you will never have a completely stealth cab with a fan (cage fan or in-line) running.

How do you conceal the noise while running. You can't.

ON the contrary my friend!!!!
if u design your ducting/connections with the fan(s) out side the grow box and above the ceiling space (attic) then your only noise concern would be the movement of air thru the ducting which with thoughtful design could be minimized enough to negate any worries.
you should place some appliance on or near the growcab that would produce noises similar to your cab, like a heaterfan for example.
a good believable cover story is in order too

Hello buzz,

You would be able to mitigatethe noise in the fashion you mentioned above.

However that would preclude the movability of the box. That is it would be a more permenate object.

But as a stand alone box- I can't see that kind of air movement without some noticable sound.

I agree with you about a cover noise- I use a radio playing 24/7.

But my box is in an out building that I am the only one that goes into it.

As far as my cover stry goes for having great smoke when no one else has any.

i have posted in grow room design for a specific reason? i am an experienced gardener and have been growing indoors with my own home built grow room for 2 years now yielding 14 oz from a 400w hps every harvest scrog style, i want to upgrade my growroom and think this is the best one

i was on og with my own grow thread but now thats gone

im not a noob so dont treat me like one

the bottom line is this grow room is silent, odour free and light tight with a vacum, im sure i cannot build it to this standard as there always will be some noise, some smell and some light leaking

so once again what do you think of this growroom

I think it's junk if you want my honest opinion. I cant belive people pay money for this kind of crap. But again thats just my opinion.

I also think had you read a little more around here you would have come up with a way to make your room smell free, it's really not hard. Do a search on Carbon filter, then do a search on negitive pressure.

i am just theorizin as i built a ROOM not a BOX but i put mucho thought in how i setup my ducting /fans and the like.
so u could say i think in terms of "permenance" LOL

I can see 1 BIG PROBLEM right away with that, u can only have one of them doors open at a time, which will make everyday jobs in garden Awkward, it does seem a lot of cash. Unless you have loads of cash and u don’t give a fuck what you spend it on , go ahead and buy it..

it has an inline fan in it. It's not going to be 100% silent. It'll be relitively quiet, but no where near unaudible.

whatever you said above dont really matter except buzz and dwtc and few others i couldnt careless what you others have to input, as its not even helping its just a waste of thread space! thanks buzz and dwtc for your helpful comments! i will try making myself a new silencer for my growbox to reduce the airflow noise, i have gone for a hps setup instead of fluros, here is my new growbox that i will buy, looks flush and does the business...its the gkit-400

as you can see in this pic



i vent my light seperatly from my cab. i put a square duct adaptor on the square hole. the adaptor has a round hole on the other end that i connect my scrubber to. my cab is in the garage so i just keep a radio goin so sound really isn't an issue.

i bring air in from the bottum of the cab, through passive intakes. they are light proof by using 2 90degree 2" pvc elbows put together. air moves through the cab up to the clone/mom area. i keep it light proof the same way as the floor. then the air moves through holes in the electrical area and out the back.

Man just chill out a little bit. People will express there opinion if you ask for it or not. Don't waste your breathe if you don't like it. There not personally attacking you. I'm kind of insulted by that last post. You pretty much told me to fuck off early on in this thread. Then I came back after you seemed to calm down and helped answer some of your question and posted some positive comments. Now you're saying no ones had any input thats good enough for you.

That was exactly what you said to me in your 3rd post, just for saying calm down some guy that responded was only offering you some advice, then I even answered your question and offered you some of my own.

Sorry if I took that the wrong way, hell after the way you started this thread you still have people trying to help. Don't be such a dick, its simply the internet man. If you know what you want, odviously no one agrees on buying any of the kits you're showing. Just buy it take pics. Do a grow or two. Post the start, the outcome, and all in between. Prove everyone wrong, or show us if you made the wrong choice. So next time someone has this question someone can link them to your thread.

Help make this a bigger resourse of information, than bitching at people for responding in a fashion that you don't want. There only trying to help. It's taking what 10 seconds to read a post. Pissed that it wasted your time? Why waste 30 more to respond?
