How's a judge gonna feel/react if you get busted growing weed with a MINOR (a very young child who is not yours by the way) in the house? It becomes more than just manufacturing dude. Out here on the East Coast that would get you maximum sentencing and at your parole hearing the board will be like "Nope don't think so". Better think this through and use your head/gut.

good advice feral. bottom line, if you don't live in one of the "legal" states then you need to take a good look at your state laws. where i live, running a grow in a house where minors live automatically brings on a charge known as child endangerment, also a felony. lots of legal loopholes to get around the gardening charges as our world changes, but absolutely zero wiggle room when kids are in the picture. the story gets grimmer if firearms are present as then the feds choose whether or not to become involved. best of luck and peace-biteme

I had this problem once w/ my kid. all grown up now. Anyways what the layout of you house? I had a big closet next to my bedroom that i essentially closed off except for the first 1 1/2 ft put up shelves and made it a coat closet. Then i built a shelving unit in my room w/ a secret door that went through the wall. Wish i had pics. Years later when my son was older i asked him if he would help me trim. He was like trim what? You should have seen his eye's when i open the secret door. LOL...

Another vote for "Pot hermit"....I've had plenty of cool friends, I've done alot of partying, but nothing compares to me garden, 4-9 weeks in 12/12.....Fuck "friends"...lol..I can't get rid of 'em fast enough.....lol..

I don't think it is doable, especially with the anti drug relatives. You can be damn sure she is going to sneak into the bedroom and open the tent sooner or later, and just one random comment of "My mom and stepdad has a garden in their bedroom" and you are going down (if it is illegal in your country). If it isn't illegal, go for it, and screw the rest.

A solution would be to rent a small room somewhere. Like most students live in. Just make sure the security is good!

You're joking right? I can't imagine being able to pull off a garden in someone else's house without them knowing what was up. Even a small setup, they would wonder why you don't live there but come by often, the smell, the noise, need for ventilation, what do you do when you gotta dry it? Bringing in supplies...

It's doable with a cabinet or a lockable room but you are taking a chance... I would worry more about the gf then the kid though. I have known a couple guys who got busted by an anonymous tip from their ex gf's. Sad reality that some women do get rather vindictive, but not all. I hope your psycho bitch sensor is working!

I have an 11 yr old and I have 2 micro cabs in my house and she is oblivious. I run my flower cab from 10pm - 10am and in my bedroom so I can shut my door and get to it after she is asleep or before she gets up. My mom/clone/veg cab is in my living room and she sometimes lays on the floor doing her homework a foot in front of my cab. I have her 3-4 days per week. It is tougher in the summer when she isn't at school, but if I need to get into the veg cab in the living room I will just get things ready in the kitchen for watering/feeding and then send her out to play Frisbee with the dog. I lock the door to be sure and then water my whole cab in about 60 seconds, close it up, clean up the stuff, and unlock the door before she come back. On school days I can take her to school and then I have a couple hours to work on both cabs. I also work out of my home so that is part of why it works. I can work around her.

I don't smoke around her and keep paraphernalia hidden. I don't like hiding it from her but as you say, kids talk and I can't trust her with that much responsibility at this age. It wouldn't be fair for to ask that of her IMHO. In a few years maybe, but that is still a lot to ask of a kid. I'm sure I won't be able to hide it from her forever like it is. Next time I move I hope I have an extra room for an office that I can keep her out of. I'll still use cabinets though. Maybe if I worked out a hidden room, but probably cabs. I modified existing furniture and that is helpful too in my case. Nothing really changed in the house and nothing was added.

Again, I will say you have to very careful if you do it. I would probably hold off until you know how it is going with the GF before ever even thinking about it. Know that the two of them in the house will increase the risk exponentially..

Not loong ago i moved in with my girlfriend and here 5yr old daughter i was looking to set up a lil 1.2x1.2 tent but i know wot my girls daughters like shes very inquisitive an like all young kids she has a bit of a big mouth i know if this tent springs up outta nowhere an takes up a fair bit of space in our bedroom shes gonna b askiing questions i dont really have no idea wot to tell here on top of that she oftens stays with relatives who r anti-drugs full stop in there eyes if ur smokin weed u might as well b smoking crack i've got a nice set up an wanna put it to use but the daughter poses a big security risk need to come up with a cover to tell here or disguise it in some way so she doesnt wanna keep looking inside it or describe it in any bait way to any1 after all loose lips sink ships..

sounds like your best bet is to build a stealth cab my friend. is your girl against you growing too?

if she isnt cool with it then as long as you light tight it then your cool, but if she is cool then just tell her your concerns about her daughter and ask her whats the best way to handle it/her.

your jsut gona have to steal moments when teh daughter is not around in order to work on things and planning harvests are gonna have to be MISSION IMPOSSIBLE CALCULATED tasks, but they could be done.

im sure with family and whatnot the lil nipper wont be in the house all the time.

There are a lot of variables here, like everybody else has been pointing out. I wouldn't do it unless the G/F is very cool about it and smokes herself. And then only if you can do it so the nosy one never finds out. Kids say the worst thing at the worst time, " like my mommys new boyfriend grows flowers in a tent or closet" explain that away!!!!!!

Heh heh heh! You aren't as clever as you think. Those of us who have had lot's of women know how women can be.

I wouldn't even consider a grow with just a girlfriend. Not a chance. Especially one with kids.

If you've been married for ten years, and your wife and you are still totally in love, then sure.

But if you're still just hanging out with girlfriends, and you grow, it's not a matter of if she might flip you to the man, it's a matter of when....
