I lost a mate a few years ago, had his car jacked up on milk crates.
Don't ask me why the fuck, he would do that and not use axel stands.
Shit, that's the sort of thing my brother does. I always tell him he's a fool. Last time he was under a car he had bits of wood on top of car tires that the car was rested on.
I get nervous under a car with even axle stands and I'm keen to get back from under the car as soon as possible but then I've always felt like everything is going to kill me lol.
I don't go on aeroplanes or even fair ground rides and when I see news that a plane has crashed or someone was injured on a fairground ride I feel justified for my fears lol

i am still waiting for my copy...
i used to stack up firewood, whatever...until my '79 Cherokee fell right after i crawled out from under it.
I stayed at a guys place in Costa Rica years ago..(he had a small hotel).He had his 57' Chevy with the rear end about 4' off the ground using 2 bumper jacks to hold it up.I tried to get him to let me help make it more secure,but he wasn't having anything to do with that as he was sure it was safe enough.
