I hated KISS, although I liked Ace Frehley. Ace used to stop by the bar I worked @ to play the 'shuffle bowling' machine, the more wasted he got the better he bowled, that sucked 'cuz he always had big bucks on him that he was willing to lose, but often didn't.

I don't know, I hate to knock the topknot because in my youth it was long hair in general that was despised, with a special hate saved for hippie boys with ponytails. If you look at it like a big 'fuck you' to what society thinks, it's not much different.
Personally, I like to sit around the house in my kimono, with my hair in a topknot, and blazed out of my mind, and pretend I'm a Japanese emperor. But I wouldn't be caught dead in public wearing a topknot, unless it was Halloween.
