mmmmm. Digi. Best cannabis on planet earth. (my opinion)

Interesting choice of seeds. Hoping for some spring time haze, huh? Really curious to see what shows up in those early Afghan too.

I used to trim for this old man in MI from time to time. He'd call me and hand me a couple 5 gallon buckets full of buds. Always Afghan #1. He had a lot of old seeds. Stuff from bags back in the late '60s and early '70s. All labeled in film canisters that he was scared to death to sprout for some reason. He wouldn't come off any either. But his Afghan #1 smelt like it was dipped in fuel or motor oil/engine grease. Taste on the flowers wasn't exactly pleasant. He wasn't really a great grower either. He just didn't care. As long as he had flowers to smoke he was more or less satisfied. I still think to this day that was the most fuel smelling bud I've come across.

I've researched it and I can't say I've ever heard anyone else describe Afghans this way. So maybe it wasn't what he said it was or maybe it was.

Either way, I'm curious to see what comes of the Afghan you are sorting. Just because. Good luck!!

A fucking mouse ate the afghan seedlings, as well as the nmlh seedlings. Got him this morning though. Something had to die for my mistake of leaving them accessible. Dammit!

BOOOOO!

Don't feel bad. Mice have been eating plants over in the San Diego's Finest thread too! I think they discuss a couple different solutions for that too, actually.

On a brighter note though fraank, The MRD SSH beans are safely out of reach. Good old peanut butter on a mouse trap got it. I'll try and remember to keep them baby seedling out of reach. They must be able to smell them seeds and or seedlings.
Thanks for stopping by DF. How's things going? I have a digi mom about to be plucked. The colors are starting to show and the smell is off the charts. This soil growing has the aroma's off the chart! Bat and seabird shit seems to rock and roll. BTW I got my resin and stank back. It was a lame soil/ ph/ fert issue.

Things are going, CB. Been working myself half to death, in the best of ways.

Organic, water only soil was always my true calling. How you feeding the Digi? The previous pics of her look like a mighty proper run for sure. I bet she does smell like divine!!!

Really glad you're posting on the regular again. Makes me excited to log in.

:respect:

Glad to hear you are doing well. This plant was fed general organics bio thrive, cal mag, top dressed the soil with bat guano. Kept the water used at ph6.4. Probably one of the best smelling digi's to date. Really getting that ripe berry aroma in the room.tomorrow is 58 days. I think she shall hang.

You used the bio-thrive line before?

I learned years back that soils with only different guanos as a nutrient source produce flowers that come out tasting much more earthy. Yields go up and density goes up. Other improvements as well, but you can really notice it the flavor.

Seabird guano is fantastic stuff. Absolutely love it. It's hard to beat it's well rounded nutrient profile. Talk about bang for the buck. It's a perfect addition to boost NPK profile in water only soils. Allows you to cut back on some of the other amendments and when blended with other sources really adds a depth of flavor that is otherwise completely absent if no guano is used.

I don't know if you've ever read any of my stickies over at the Stank Bros sub-forum or not. I get into a bit of this stuff and my reasonings there. Not trying to detract from your thread. ;)

Keep slaying! Looking forward to some more Digi!!! :woohoo:

Too bad about the seeds Chili. I once had a mouse get every seed from three 72 cell seed trays. That was a lesson learned the hard way...EVERY cell..lol. that was a determined mouse.

Wow Buddle. Hopefully they were seeds you made and not paid for! That would be a pricey hit!

Love this clone. Kyle Kushmans "cough" crossed with my first Bluebubble male. Finishes @ 63 days. Smells divine. I shared this with the Michigan Medical community. Nice heavy indica effect. Grows like a kush but with giant nugs.
