fucking fungus gnat cures

B

Baron Greenback

Further to my post about the diatomaceous earth - it works really well, one application on the top of the coco, no fungus gnats left.
Pretty cheap solution, worked quickly and efficiently.

I'll second the neem meal.

I had gnats in every single one of my regular soil plants (succulents are in a fast draining/drying soil mix) & I top dressed with neem meal 3 or 4 times every two weeks. The gnats haven't been in the house all winter.

Now that it's warming up the gnats are making a population increase outside. I put oil in the tiller and left the jug sitting outside. Over night, the jug bacame covered in gnats.

Whoda thunk it?

ever get that acid trip infestation where you swear they're singing SATAN SATAN when they fly back and forth..

..or open your cab every now and then and see a dark shadow.. and over a period of days you realise there's a giant demon queen fungus gnat the size of a bumblebee that somehow manages to remain hidden in a cab with four solo cups, and you're like i'm dreaming i'm dreaming but no it's real life.

placed my second order for 60grams of gnatrol.... for my four beer cups..

it says, heavy infestation, 2 tsp/gal., i used like a quarter cup/32oz.

also ordered some more neem oil... let's hope la habra hydro didn't store it in the sun.

i don't want to mess with a co2 generator.. i'm like broke. d'ya think there's an easier way to pull off the seal/gas thing? maybe just light a candle?

beauvaria bassiana, I think OG biowar has it as an ingredient... used as a soil drench, it is an entomopathogenic fungi. worked for me!

The reason I stumbled across this thread was to share that my gnat problem I believe is being taken care of by the temps in the flower room. I use LED's and it was suggested to keep the room at 80 degrees. The only gnats I see are the dead ones laying around. Obviously they are there but not a problem.

 If you are saying that keeping your room temp @80F is killing fungus gnats I am laughing at you.

thinking that if 'they are there', dead or alive, they are a problem. I too have a hard time with 80*F does it.:smoky:

EDIT: unless, of course, it was 95-100*F before.

OK. I've read enough. Look into something called wizards brew.

Yucca soap and a combination of natural extracts. I use it to prevent spider mites and love it! Although I've never had them before so idk how its really working,I'd assume good. But on to the important part. I DID have gnats. I had the wizards brew and was sosick of gnaysbin my face I figured it was worth a shot it worked in one spray. Didn't soak it too much just sprayed like the dirt was a leaf and they were gone fast. Two stray gnats looking for a place to lay eggs with no viable soil they eventually ended up either leaving or on the yellow trap

Don't listen to the "let's give them chemicals" guys! Natural diatimatious earth or that wizards brew. All ya need. keep it organic, I know neem oil is supposed to be pretty natural but that neem oil can fuck with your lungs and stomach over time. There's a study trying to say canbinoids CSB fuck with your stomach but on reality a lot of people believe its the aza, myclo, neem, shit like that that is also usually present. The majority of people who get sick from smoking weed stop smoking dispensary weed and miraculously get better

I am surprised that Microbe Lift BTI hasn't been mentioned yet!

I too live in the desert….. BUTTTT, I've been using this stuff in my garden since moving out here 3 years ago and I have not had a single fungus gnat in my room at all!

When I purchase Microbe Lift BTI…. I usually buy it by the gallon and use it at 1ml. per gallon.

I just simply mix it into my nutes and feed once a week.

Microbe Lift BTi was designed to combat mosquitos when used at a very small ratios…but when you add 1ml. per gallon….say goodbye to any and all fungus gnats forever!

This has been MY experience with the stuff for a little over three years now...and I will probably never have to use anything else anytime soon.

Just Google wizards brew order a small sample and I'm positive they'll be gone for good. Stuffs not super spendy. And its the only thing I use in my garden. They also have a pm formula but since I've had neither pm nor mitei can only say this for sure the wizards brew worked great on root gnats. Spray on top and they gone

I was more asking about the 80 degree temps more than anything. I used neem oil up until second week of flower. That very well could be it. I also have the air moving slightly more than average.
