FUCK small cities in NY

So i'm out here visiting faimly for a re-union, my 3 picture id's saying i'm over 21 (drv from cali) isn't enough evidence to get a drink.... BAHHHHHH fuck this place now i'm guna toke in a dark dark ass hole as i see police cruizin up and down the street i'm staying on every 30min. Its like they know there are a few hundred people who arn't supposed to be here ... visiting

Damn that sux slips...3 Ids and they still didn't let you buy some drinks??? Has to be upstate NY cuz down by the city it's a whole notha' story.. you can look like a 12 yr old and as long as your ID says your 21 and over you'll get those drinks and that's if they even ask you for ID :friends:

I walked around town this morning with my hydrofarm shirt on this morning, i can't beliave some of the looks i have gotten, great entertainment lol (gues they arn't stonner here ) . Time for the pink flyod and fraternity shirts next lol p.s. not walking with the ganja on me it's in the dark dark hole underground lol

small cities tend to be a little more strict here in upstate. Where you'll find it easier is if you just hit up some hick bar a few miles out. Most don't care as long as you can grow facial hair. And like someone said above, if you have a problem gettin the drinks, just go with a friend (or family member) and have them actually buy them for ya and just get a booth or table away from the bar. I've been doing that kinda thing since 17 or 18 and I don't even look older.

Never had a problem in upstate NY or NYC for that matter. Your CDL is plenty of proof of your age. You supposed to show em your birth certificate and Social Security card too? I had a couple bars do a double take on my CDL, but that was all. Like they had never seen one before, so didn't know where to look for the age.
Go into NYC, and wear your hydrofarm shirt while walking around Bowery street by what used to be CBGB's. Probably get people wanting to get stoned, or get you stoned. I know I did. Actually had two guys smoke some S.D. with me when I went to see the Gorilla Biscuits play at CBGB's. It was good, and then I got them trashed on some OG Kush from here in the LA area, and some budder hash I made from catpiss. They said the weed I brought was so good they were gonna buy the drinks for me all night. Too bad for them, I can party like a rockstar (Keith Richards excluded of course), so their bar tab was over a couple hundred bones.
Good times to be had in NYC, Albany is like a country college town. But it's all good man. Hope you have a great trip.

On a good note this place is Absolutely stunning, it reminds me of humbolt. Went stonned and got some cuba cheese YUUMMMMMMMYYYY and chilled at the lake there.

im guessing somewhere near the reservations, sounds like a nice litttle chill spot you found yourself slips whenever i get the chance i will toke up up if im near a lake or natural waters, it just seems extra relaxing. Hope you enjoy your stay

i was just out there a couple weeks on business. the county supposedly has the most growers per capita of any county in new york. Some nice smaller "lakes" down there.........unless you hit chautauqua, thats the only reeeeaaall lake it seems in the area. Beautiful area though.

Its a great place to get stoned. The bars are better if you're a local or a college kid near chautauqua or jamestown. If you're still out there, make the drive over to letchworth state park. also a beautiful area, especially if you go between 9 and 10 when the falls are lit up. (on a side note, take a girl out there, sober or not, with the lit up falls at one of the lookout points, and if you're not a jackass you WILL get some )

plenty of chill people in the area, just kinda closed off to outsiders and people who sem like rich bitches to them for the most part. Ya gotta get to know them before they'll let you in on the good stuff.

Like i said, nice place to visit and very very out of the way for the most part. just don't go there expecting anything remotely close to city life.

Upstate is very weird. They have their own language and codex. BUT I lived up there for about a year and a half.
Everyone was a head. Homegrown everywhere, the locals were very cool but QUITE paranoid at first. The way people would look at me, like I was going to smoke crack out of a baby's head while driving drunk mowing down Nuns.
BUT that's just their way.

I think they hassled you about getting a drink because they took a dislike to you out of towners.
Once they consider that you are not a FED or State Leo they'll open up.

Now as I'm sure you know, people born in NYC don't consider the rest of the state as being a part of New York. They think of upstate as a kind of half wit mutated cousin.

Sorry you're having such a crappy time. Did you say you were visiting family??!! LOL
