Fuck, plants starting seed production, 5th week of flower - harvest now or wait??

I have dealt with lots of accidental pollination. So much that i have researched the matter thoroughly. Let me share what i have learned.

Inside the calyx, or female flower, is the ovule. The ovule looks exactly like a tiny green seed. It is this ovule that is pollinated and then it grows and turns brown. It could easily be mistaken for a seed by anyone overzealous in a seed search.

If the herb is for sale, then watch the plants closely over the next two weeks. If they are in fact pollinated, you will see the seeds grow. Then chop them and it should be unnoticed to most folks.

If its for yourself, your probably better off letting them mature and then just picking out ripe seeds as you smoke it.

Same thing happened to me one time..Here is a very valuable lesson, BUY DUTCH MASTER REVERSE RIGHT FRICKIN NOW!! It will stop the seeds from getting any larger & your buds will continue to mature, then harvest 1 week or so earlier than normal. I now always spray Dutch Master Reverse on the 5th day of flowering which prevents any random male pollen from seeding your female crop. Reverse is what the watermelon industry uses to produce non-seeded watermelons & the shit really works (For me it has worked, I am sure there are others that it has not worked for) I would give it a shot. My crop that got pollinated produce seeds about the size of poppy seeds at harvest & it was an excellent crop, noone complained or even mentioned the tiny seeds..GOOD LUCK!

damn this happened to me last crop....chemxsour male spit before i could kill him and he polinated everything. i decided to let them finish and i had a bunch of pretty potent decent looking seeded bud, but none of it sold. i got off a couple ounces for 50 each lol...then bagged up the seeds and smoked the rest. still have some left to make hash out of..

and yeah buy dutchmaster reverse for peace of mind. one of the phenos i had was throwing hermies last grow...tons of self polination. i had 3-4 clones that i decided to just run this grow with the dutchmaster reverse just for kicks. after two sprays i only found one or two male flowers but they were inviable...so far everythings looking good..

if i get seeded this crop im gonna burn down the grow room...

I'd be curious to hear how things worked out for dude.I think everyone has, or will, experience an accidental pollenation.Happened to me on the first run in a new room,the entire room save 2 or 3 plants.The feeling of dread that the OP had is understandable.

My point is, you guys rock

I mean, you may have a course of action plotted out in your mind when shit like this happens, but it sure is nice you have somewhere to come and (pardon the pun) hash shit out and confirm your line of thought on how best to deal with the matter.

Potency is not reduced in seeded bud (IMO). I smoked some six month old sour lifesaver that was heavily seeded (on purpose), and it kicked my ass just as much as the unseeded SLS I have.

You have less bud for sure with seeds, but not less potency.

Also, just because you found one seed does not mean the whole crop is ruined.

I have encountered seeds week 5 of flower as well. It's purple candy. I'm going to try "Switch" by optic foiler. Same as reverse by Dutch master. Does anyone have any feedback or past experiences trying this so late in flower?
