From bad luck to worse.

Hi IC fam. Don't know if this is the right place to post this or if I should even post
But I need some help.
Just found out my uncle diagnosed
Stage 4 Cancer, spread from Bowel
(Can't even spell it)
To liver and so on.
Given him 2 months....
On top of that my poor cat is on her last legs, probably days left
If that.
She had a good life though and is in her 20's.
Still. When they make that horrible meow
Sound,
You just know, the end is near.
Don't know what to do...
Just need to vent it out...

And we recently lost our cat of 18 years
So I made a strain in her honor
She ate/indulged in more herb than most humans I know

Sorry to hear this man, it absolutely sucks to lose a pet, and with the news of your uncle too, it is sad. Hang in there, and like bigsur said, it will get better with time

It's absolutely fine to vent this here. Try to keep your head up and much strength to your uncle (and you).
It is what it is... still hope things change for the better for him.
And your cat, I hope he can exit peacefully when the time comes.

It means a lot to me and has actually made me feel better
Just knowing that other people understand and care enough to post.
Unfortunately, I lost my cat 'Lexy'
Last night but at least she went in her sleep and is now in a better place.
Was weird, my dog seemed to know what was coming and wouldn't settle, kept going in the kitchen to check on Lexi.
And when the moment came she just started howling a sad howl.

I'm going to try and spend as much time with my uncle as I can.

sad to hear about lexy Mack… but she made it to 20 which is very much methusela level for a feline. I‘m sure she had a full life
The best thing you can do in sad times like these is to remember the awesome moments had together.
Was she attracted to the smoke when you blazed one? All cats are i think! Put one in the air for her

I´m very sorry to hear this.

animals can sense things so much better than us sometimes...

Spending time whenever you can with your uncle is the best thing you can do now imo. And I reckon that it´ll be good for both of you.

@Chevy cHaze , She was indeed a herb lover,
She would always come and stretch out next to you when you blazed a fat one.
Also she loved the plants and would often inspect them. Quite the green paw..lol

pets passing suddenly affects me more than watching a human go downhill. both of my parents took months to pass, so i was braced for it. waking up and finding a pet has died overnight sucks...
