friend on a budget coming with me to the cup

hey guys

i just wanted to get some thoughts on this situation.

i was booking my hotel and it was gonna be the same price for a single room as a twin room so i thought i would see if one of my friends wanted to come along. well i called my friend who is a student at uni and so does not have much money and he said he would come along and i gave him a good deal on the room but.....

he thinks his money would be better spent on bud and hash than on a guest pass. i wanted to know will he not be able to attend the wake n bake at gypsys seed boutique for example?

and would he be able to pay for the things he wants to goto, i think he will definately want to goto the 420 smokeout in haarlem but i dont think he would be that interested in the hortus botanicus.

basically where does he stand if he doesnt get a guest pass???

Sounds to me like your friend might be happier purchasing a daily entrance ticket into Fat City...however, there is so much to smoke that I'm sure your friend will not need to purchase a heck of a lotta weed and hash...but then again, if it's his first trip to the dam seems it's almost ritualistic that first timers want to go to as many coffee shops as possible sampling all the wares.

He'll have to forego the welcome goodie bag and all the canal boat trips (3 days worth!) plus....well, just have him read what all the guest pass includes and if he doesn't want to participate or receive things which are included, then he's better off with the day pass (10 euros). He can purchase that during wake 'n bake....come on....you can't possibly think I'd actually turn anyone away who gets up early to come smoke out with us...not a chance :wink:

yer i didnt think u would turn him away at the wake n' bake. its not his first time in a'dam so he will want to go to lots of coffeeshops but i think he will also want to goto quite a few of the events but will he be able to just pay for any he wants to goto

like the smoke out in haarlem, can he just pay for a train ticket to get there. or does the guest pass get u in somewhere u cant buy a ticket for?

could he not pay for a days canal trip if he wants to for example?

the thing is i dont want to say to him that he doesnt need a pass to goto any of the events he can just pay for the one he wants to goto unless this is true.

i hope i havent made him out to be too trampy with all of this

oh well i dont think he has the money right now to pay for a pass so he will probably just have to go without whatever

Man I wish I knew that earlier as that was the killler budget wise... ok off to last minute dot .com see if there any good deals for me....
