Fresh paint in grow room

I made a stand out of reinforcing steel for a vertical bulb, it was rusty so I slapped hammerite on it. Anyone got an idea on how long until it's safe to use in my tent? Does the paint just need to be dry without fumes or will it need to cure completely?
