Drock, those things look fat.
mrfog, hello welcome to the thread (and to icmag)!! not sure what you are referring to... drock's colas are so damn big they sort of drown out the fan leaves (haha), but most cannabis plants still have their fan leaves even in bloom...
i will cut them off if things are too cramped in the bloom room and the leaves are shading bud sites, or if it is towards the end of the cycle and they are yellowing off, or if the leaves are damaged, etc.
i haven't really gotten a solid answer either way, whether it is good to cut off fan leaves or leave them for food. the answer differs at different stages of the growing cycle, and mutually opposing logic exists in both directions. for instance, if the leaves help create food for the buds you would want to leave them on towards the end of bloom, so they can send nutes to the flowers. but then again, if it is the end of the flower cycle and you are flushing nutes out anyway, why not just cut the buggers off and speed up the cleansing process?
don't know man, i've only been doing this for a little under a year. anyone else with insight?
and some more pics.
Grapefruit x Trainwreck, this has to be around day 60... stupid khaleel, not keeping track lol oh well, the trichs are about 30% amber, she is in the final flush and will come down next week.
and the Willijuana x Trainwreck, around day 60 too. though trichs are still about 60/40 cloudy/clear, this one's a sativa gonna take a bit longer to mature
and a closeup of the GF
