Freakshow (fern leaf strain) by shapeshifter/humboldt seed company

That looks even weirder!
The leaves look more like succulents. I must admit that photo shows the oddest weed plant I have ever seen. Other photos of ABC are not that impressive in regards to weirdness. Still see what it is, easily in flowering. Never heard of Australian bastard before humboldt's statement that their freakshow is unrelated to it. How come this is not more known and prevalent, and why isn't anyone trying to make it auto? Ducksfoot is at least available from seed bank. Are all the freak leaf mutants so lame potency wise? So what, if people grow it for stealth, some potency is worth sacrifizing.
Still, neither of these are sufficiently stealth for me. Again, breed this leaf pheno with a stringy pearl pheno, and it's the perfect stealth plant!
If I ever get a pearly pheno from my dr.Grinspoon or landrace seeds, I promise I will start crossing and try to breed forth the combo of string beads and freak leaves! Sincerely hope others will try the same, and I am surprised none of the big commercial seedbanks like DP or dinafem are trying the same. Recessive traits for both buds and leaves sure will be time consuming, but they have the resources. The stealth factor must be a huge lucrative idea!
However, it don't be stealth forever if it's commercially bred and everyone grows it.

Better keep my future beady flower-webbed leaf auto to myself and a select few complices..

ABC is an odd one but if I remember right it is a bitch to breed with. The mutations can be revessive in progeny and the ones that are mutant are close to hemp or hay in potency. That may be why someone hasn't taken it to those lengths. Of course everything is all about selection and numbers ;)

I do wonder if polyploidy and other mutations could come out. I had an Australian (purported to be anyway) male that displayed tons of inner branching and nodes on nodes type things going on.

Thanks for the links, hellfire. Looks like the original abc had some variation, and low potency was common.
Now that hyb has bred it for twenty years I am positive to his claim that potency in his subterfuge#1 has reached normal levels. All we need now are more grow reports.

These seeds are truly unique as well. They are white. Not like immature seeds. Just white. They kinda made me shake my head. Can't wait to grow these

Hello Sachiel, I'm from Spain and I got them at humboldtseedcompany.es, I think they send to all Europe. Hope that the info helps!!

I bought this winter ABC site 4 and they are finally beginning to bloom.

This round is for seeds, but I'm looking forward to trying some buds.

Now I will save on buying a freakshow and will definitely try cross :)

Hey Diuc,

another member on this forum already pointed them out to me but thanks again! I placed my order yesterday ;P How long did they need to send you a shipping notification?

:bandit:Did anyone think about planting these mutated varieties inside a patch of Artemisia and Leonurus species? They should provide the perfect camouflage...

Has anyone done a freakshow cross yet? To ABC or a regular structured strain. Interested in how that went. What happens when you cross 2 unrelated mutant strains and dig through its offspring in the f2's? I'd be keen to throw some ABC pollen on a freakshow. Anyone have experience? thanks.
