i had a girl in my pack of chemdog ibl's that did nothing but foxtail, there were no real buds so to speak of...just long sticky tails of alternating, single, fat calyxes. it was soooooo ugly looking during early to mid budding, then all of the sudden it started stacking out big long dreadlocks out of everywhere! no smell to the buds really, and not a ton of flavor except for this sort of overwhelming sour taste...
i think that you can manipulate your plants to foxtail more or less with different light schedules or adding nitrogen later in flower, i vaguely recall reading about it somewhere... i would like to see what a strain that is bred just to stack calyxes looks like. i hope your second germination works better than the first, i use the paper towel in the plastic bag as well, but you should make sure that your towels aren't getting too wet, saturated is bad. and also take care to not get them too hot, the only time i got zero germ rate was when i tried to speed things up by putting the seeds and towel setup on my computer screen or other warm surface, accidentally overheating them. remember, in the wild cannabis sprouts early in the spring, it's always cold and wet, so in my opinion you are always best off germing at room temperature to be safe, nothing like spending 180 bucks on 10 seeds to kill them 2 days later...
