Hey all, i just got my fox farm ocean soil, grow big, big bloom, and tiger bloom. I have heard use them @ 1/4 strength and increase from there.

I have also heard to switch from nutes to plain water every other water....

can anyone shed any info?

yeah 1/4 strength sounds good, I don't think those products are all 100% organic though, if that matters or not.

I would feed about once a week, and plain water the rest, maybe a Tbs of Blackstrap Molasses.

Molasses huh? add a Tbs to water? how much water?

I just put my 3 little ones (one didn't make it :( :wallbash: ) into a mix of about 20% perlite, 20%vermiculite, and 60% FF Ocean Potting soil.

100% organic doesn't matter that much to me...... They are only about a week old, and just have the 2 first leaves they get and the long portion of what looks like a fan leaf. There is a new section starting in the middle of all of that.

I've got them under a 400 w MH/conversion bulb for 18 hours, I just put them under it, I germed them under just a 100 w bulb, so they are loving the extra lumens now that they are in their cabinet....

How long do I wait before adding the FF Grow Big to the water?

and only give nutrients once a week? Cool....

thanks for all your help!

The FFOF is a fairly hot soil right out of the bag so you shouldn't need to fert for at least a week or two depending on the strain, size, etc. And starting at 1/4 strength every other watering is good, you can always increase if you start to see any deficiency's.

Yes, a quater strength sounds like a good starting point. Some might say an 1/8 strength for the first couple of waterings to help the plants adjust but that is personal opinion. FF ocean is a hot soil so I would have let it sit for a little while before putting anything into it but it isn't terribly hot like other soils so you should be ok. Also, you may want to do a flush at the end of every month to ensure that your plants have a "clean" soil to grow in. Two are definetily neccessary during flowering though. Hope your grow goes well.

Happy Toking :bandit:
