Fourth Grow - Same Problems

i have a similar problem with my leaves; and the causes are many in my case, from some soil problems (organic mix) and organic fertilizers, to aphids and white flies and who knows what else :D i was told to even consider the yellowing and drying of leaves in such a fashion to be a type of fungus.

so far what has helped a lot is to feed with liquid humus, as it helps stabilize the pH. but you are going all chem so i dunno if this may work for you. also, controlling the bug populations with environmentally friendly recipes has helped, the plants keep growing and becoming a bit healthier each week.

good luck. peace.

Has anyone ever successfully taken clones from plants that have mites?

Yeah, you can clone them as long as the plants aren't heavily infested...but alot of sprays/dips can damage newly rooted clones, so be careful what you use on them.

I've tried the safer's soap on mites before...it slowed them, but did not get rid of them. My personal vote is Avid if the plants are not flowering...it WILL kill the mites and doesn't damage the foliage unless used at really high concentrations. 15-20 drops per gallon of water is plenty in most cases.

Lowering the temps and increasing the humidity will help slow their reproduction so that your miticide of choice can do a better job...

An update.

The plants look a little better after the flusing, or at least they don't look any worse which is a step in the riht direction. The mites are only a few dozen but they keep coming back which is real annoying. Today I'll transplant and I'll post another update in a few days.

Thanks for the replies.

I'm thinking that using hydroponic nutes in a soilless mix is leaving me with a deficiency. So let me ask this? What is the best way to introduce extra nitrogen and/or magnesium to the plant? I'm thing of starting by mixing epsom salts and water and foliar feeding to see if I get results. Again, this is just going by the seat of my pants without much real knowlege of waht is truly happening.

I'm just at a loss as to how this keeps happening no matter what changes I've made (Soil type, PH, nute strength, nute brand, flushing, etc.)

This is driving me crazy!

try schultz iron green

http://www.gardenandlawns.com/product_info.php?products_id=3917

ive always grown soilless with hydro nutes. from grow bags to baby pools.
let your plants dry before you feed.
iron grren will green them up and reverse your yellowing.
i tried gh,ej,canna and finnaly stuck with pure blend pro.
i acctualy let my plants get a little root bound so i can feed every day and get massive growth.
hope these tips help.

Thanks a lot.

I found a flame thrower on Ebay. Maybe it'll come in handy, especially if I win that 12' bong too.

from the way you describe your feeding schedule, i would have to say you are over feeding the plants...

as a result, your soilless medium is also most likely 'hot' still...

keep flushing with plain water...lots of it, or transplant into new (unfertilized) medium, and give plain water until they recover...

after they recover, start at 1/2 strength evry other watering.

you have overferted/burned your plants from the beginning...it will take some time for them to recover...

this stress will likely delay flowering times by a couple of weeks, as well...

you can get them to recover, just ease off the nutes.

does GH know your growing pot? cannabis is NOT like other plants they are very sensitive to nutrients and trust me you are pounding them poor plants with to much

To me each plant is diff.. Some can take more, some less..

GH well never tell.. but they know exactly what you're growing. They would be stupid not to.
