Still at $30/gram, or is it higher now? lol

Besides having a very long line of enthusiastic and demographically diverse people, the whole experience was disappointing. I like that there is a line and I like that it is made of up people from all walks of life, but the weed was B+ at best, and yes, $30 a g if you are out of state, $25 a g if you are a resident, and $20 a g if you are a resident of the valley. So I bought a g just for the hell of it...not doing that again. Maybe the one up in Aspen will come through with some quality, I hope so, I know the owner

now thats a sexy ass cut bear!!!!

Fingers crossed for great germination!!!!

All my friends who hit up CO to Board and Ski have come back with pure disdain for ever thinking CO weed was going to be a eureka.

They all came back and pretty much told me how much of a steal I am LOL I cocked an eye brow like oh really? AHEM INFLATION!!!! lol jay kay

Good vibes and blessings everyone!!! :smoke out:

I agree with you post of disappointing legal bud. I live in the conservative county so I went to Pueblo on day one. Seven hour wait and the product was mid qual.
I didn't read the whole thread but every few pages. I enjoy your prose.
I have thousands of seeds from the 80's and 90's comprising around 75 strains. Some named, some from great bags of comm. I've tried, in batches of 10 or so to revive some Hash/NL/Swazi. I grew this with great success in around 91 thru 93. They pop tails in water, but it appears its doing this simply as they've swollen with water. None come up thru the dirt.
I appreciate your thread. I should investigate different methods of reviving these old beans. I'll try yours next.

@Dog's Life:I am extremely interested in the seeds you mention, can you please elaborate or
break down the bean library of those labeled? I'm certainly sure that deserves it's own thread!

Thanks. I'm a bit of a lurker that chimes is every so often. I'm feeling social tonight as it's snowing and cold and I've been in all day.
More than half are bagseed. I tried to label where/who I got the bag from just to jog my memory but realistically it's just some seeds from my college days. Some from New York, some from Colorado. The labeled ones are from the beginning of this thing we know as commercialized seed sales. Garlic bud, Northern Lights, Skunks, early pearl, one a breeder called "shade plant". Guess why.

But some, really deserve investigation. There were some really great growers during that time in Upstate that will never get the recognition they deserve.

You have given me food for thought. Thank you. I popped my first seed 26 years ago and you have gotten me thinking of those times. Thanks!

Interesting thru the years, and many longtime growers will agree, I see many modern strains that distinctly remind me of old ones. I'll see a NL in one, a thai in another. But that's to be expected. They're the breeders used to create today's strains. I'm sure the OP would agree, too. This individual appears to know their biz.
Great thread

Some bud shots from the ongoing harvest just to keep it interesting:

Soma's Diesel at 95 / 100 days of flower. Long flowering pungent fuel smelling afghan phenotype. The finger hash is worth writing home about imho.

Wow. F**k my life.:bashhead:
I for sure thought when i started reading this thread earlier today i was gonna see a finished "GD london 72" plant/bud.
Seeing as this thread started in '12.
I read through the whole thing and feel cheated.
You seriously should go back and edit the first page and put a disclaimer. "This thread goes nowhere....
slowly"

Sorry to be a dick, but i rarely have the time to read a thread and this one was a big waste of time.
Let me know in 2016 when you finally flower this shit out.

Shit happens, seems like this guy had some set backs,
but persevered. I support that. He still has the cut, so
thread valid.

I enjoyed reading the material presented as is. Good thread.

@DroppedCat: I definitely agree, when Bear_Riot's greenhouse was destroyed I was literally stressed out......
It's great to see things back the way they were and better; I'm so glad this is still happening! Peace everyone.

The disruption in this grow is entirely logistical and has nothing to do with balls.

Well, thats just, like, your opinion, man.

If the seeds dont germinate, then I will put a disclaimer because I think thats a good courteous idea, but until that happens the thread just isnt finished. Anytime Im going to read a long thread I 'preview' it.
