So i'm on this site that you gave me, http://advancedtechlighting.com/cdmed18.htm, and I see 400W horizontal at $53.00. Is that what im getteing?? Im confused as to what I am buying on that site. It looks like a GREAT price however I think that price is to good to be true. What does it all include for $53.00?

It just includes the bulb dude. You still would have to buy the ballasts/reflectors (regular hps ballasts).

CMH bulbs are excellent, but if your going for a 4000 watt grow, then it will be more efficient to use 600 or 1000 watt HPS for flower rather than CMH, simply due to the increase of efficiency as you move to higher wattage bulbs.

Dr. Bloom: Do you have any suggestions for a ballast then? I heard the hydrofarm powerhouse HPS/MH was a decent choice. It also comes with an 8 year warranty. I'm looking for a long-lasting quality ballast(s). Thanks!

Ballasts depend on budget, you could go digital (lumatek) or magnetic (high yield lighting). I like magnetics (at least that brand) because they aren't noisier or hotter then a digi and tend to last longer.
