For those who made a move

Im in a non friendly state and want to get out and move to friendlier area for cannabis.I am saving cash and doing my homework and plan to be moving by 2015.

My question is where to go?why? What areas in what states? Growing in rented homes? I would appreciate some advice from those who made a move.

forget Washington...Colorado's got it going on!
medical protected, recreational available, with plant counts for anyone/everyone to grow legal.
Washington banning dispensaries/collectives, reducing to insignificance the amount of medicine one is allowed (in different forms) and size of garden...even size of plants!!!

some f'd up big money influence destroying our mmj laws.

good luck.

Hello....tokersmoker....i to have been thinking of making the move....
But where... i'm moving because of employment...if we stick to rule #1...& don't tell anyone...we should be able to move anywhere we want...
I was thinking Washington...there having problems with what there doing with cannabis now...
Colorado does have it going on right now...even if you went legal..plant numbers are good....
Next green rush WILL be in the east...i still think the best place for a grower right now is Colorado(personal opinion)...
As far as growing in rented homes...treat it like it is your own...& you should be kool(unless your a pig)...

some f'd up big money influence destroying our mmj laws. ....wait till the tobacco industry get a hold of it... you'll want to grow your own..

Growing in Florida is very risky right now. The citizens are far more pot tolerant than anyone in law enforcement- which could easily lull I've into a false sense of security. It just takes one phone call...

ttystikk Florida may have medical mj soon.I lived in palm beach county doors where getting kicked daily so i understand what you mean.

The Florida bill is a no grow bill correct? I moved to Michigan because of the cheap power and housing costs....

Don't know where else is better.

But I've been here in Colorado for 40 odd years..... Think I'll stay. lol

Problem is where to go for Vaca. or the Winter? So many decisions, and nothing stands out as 'a place I gotta go'.

Smoke it if you grew it...... lol

To stay recreationally legal,

Individual: 3 in Bloom and 3 immature
Household: 6 in Bloom and 6 immature

I wish the numbers were twice these, but I'll take these for the moment.

Not sure about the florida bill.I hope they have growing on the bill.I have a family of three so moving from the east coast to Cali or colorado is a big move.If it was just me i would have been gone already.Im adhering to the golden rule right now.I may just step my security and game up to make the move.So as long as you fucke** dont tell anyone im ok.

Im thinking of building a large secure shed on the back of my property to continue my hobby.Any comments on this idea?

I grew up just a few hundred miles to the east of Colorado. Now I can hardly stand to go back there because of the humidity. lol

Milder weather in the winter (mostly) lol.

Much less humidity.

And most of all. The people here tend to be more friendly, and also tend to respect individual rights more than where I grew up. I could move back there and save a boatload of $s on Real Estate alone. But HELL NO, I won't go.

I will say, I'm not fond of Denver Metro. Too much traffic, and the air quality sucks too. So I spend about half the year in the mountains where there is Much less traffic and the air is Way Better too.

jm$.02 Your mileage may vary!
Especially if you still have to make a living...........

Looks like the home grow is out for florida..Just made me change my mind on alot of things

I thought it was.... Same as Illinois.... Thats why I moved to Michigan. Sure is a lot of snow up here but man you cant beat the price of electricity. 10 cents a killowatt out the door..... :dance013:

I would avoid buying property on the coast, because we are hearing more and more about raidation from Fukushima but the 'big shoe' hasn't dropped yet. When it does, Beach Property will become a lot more affordable.

There's a lot of great craftspeople and country in Oregon. However, Oregon cops still make their $$ arresting people - and they spend half their time saving us from "evil drug users".

I suggest a camping vacation in Colorado, Washington, Oregon, and California to Assess De Vibes. But be VERY careful about having weed in your car, or using it where someone else can smell it.

Freedom = walking into a dispensary and them showing you what they got and you walking out with some good Cannabis.

I never thought about that....how you would use more gas in your car at a higher altitude. I wonder how bad it is. 80% of normal?

lol Sparks are $.o62 (0r so), $.08 and change penalty rate in Denver.

In the mountains I pay a premium $.16.....

Wish AZ would get their shit together, I could stand a nice dry winter climate! :woohoo: Without the massively high prices for real estate.

I live in CO and it's pretty nice man. Market is pretty saturated if you're looking to make money, but if you're looking for personal freedom, it's definitely the place to be.
Traffic does suck and will only continue to get worse with the new US 36 CDOT bill they just passed approving privatized toll roads on large stretches of all major high ways for 50 years (bullshit CDOT says it can't pay for roads themselves. Recreational pot doing a million in tax revenue the first day of sales. Getting fucked on these roads, but anyway...)
Air quality isnt great, but I've definitely seen much worse. Mountains are pretty damn close to the city though so it doesnt take much to get some really nice fresh air if you want.
CO really has a little bit of everything to be honest, good and bad, but mostly good I'd say =\

Oh yeah, and on that plant count 3 &3 per individual, 6 & 6 per house, since I am also a medical patient can I have 3&3 medical, and 6&6 recreational, so 9&9??

Im just at medical compliance now, just curious.
