White Pony- Sorry It's been so long for replies I guess were all busy with harvesting. But for strains from what I have seen Leb27 is a very fast maturing plant and probley would be a great plant for your area. But if possible you can always force flower plant's which means covering them with something or moving them in and out of a dark garage, sheed. And if your able to do that you could grow almost any strain.

Bull- I am sure your plant is already harvested by know but I'll write this so everyone knows. When a plant matures the thrichombes (crystalls) turn colors. They are first clear, then go cloudy or milky, then they turn amber (redish brown). Now its pretty much impossible to notice these colors with the naked eye so you'll have to get a magnifier or a microscope, or a camera that can take decent macros. When all the trichs have turned milky and some are turning abmer you can harvest. I'm not really sure if this is a fact or just bs but most say harvesting with fewer anber trichs results in a more up high and harvesting later with more amber trichs produces a more couchlock type high.
And harvesting in the garage is fine be carefull of high humidity which will cause mold. keep away from sunlight also when drying.
The purpleing could be caused by cold wether or could just be genetics either way it's nothing to worry about. Cannabis is a very strong plant and can withstand a few frosts. I remember when I was younger everyone would say you need to harvest before they get frost otherwise the THC goes into the stems and your plants are no good :pointlaug Well rest assure that was all just a bunch of B.S . If a plant is affected by frost you will be able to tell within a few hours leaves become droopy then eventually they die and brown wich will cause mold if not takin care of. Here's a pic of my last plant harvested this year which got hit with frost many times plant don't look to hot but the buds are just fine

Palikari- I'm not quite sure I understand what you asking but it will take 2 months or more for your palnt to bud. It's a slow but very exciting process.

a good list to keep in mind when growing outside

1 pickaxe
1 shovel
1 tarp (to mix soil)
2 or 3 buckets
a axe (trim up some branches or cut down smaller trees)
machete (cut away the undergrowth around the plants- weeds, thickets, shrubs and whatever else)
rope ( for when climbing trees! no need to fall and break something!, can use later on to tie up ya plants)
soil ( pro mix, walmart soil orange bag, miracle grow soil, or what ever!)
perlite
domlite lime
blood/bone meal (make sure not to plant for atleast 2 week after using)
green sand
kelp/seaweed

may not need it all but the soil is the #1 thing to get as most of the soil in the wilderness is hard and filled with clay, but you can mix about 1/4 of it in with the store bought soil

use the buckets to spread the soil evenly and then ya can use it to plant in later on or use to collect water if you want, but i like using milk jugs to get water!

also you may want to check when ya first and last frost dates are! where im at i usually dont plant till beginning part of may or mid may!

read thru the info ive posted on the first few pages and ya should be ready to go and have some fun in the wild!

Pickax is a must for me, ground is way to rooted to get anywhere without one.

Great thread guys, very helpful. I still have a simple question though.

I'm at 38* N, and I'm wondering if its OK to veg my babies indoors until there strong, then put them outside around the end of march. From what i have read it seems to depend on genetics, so I started my leftover begseeds too, along with some g13 and PK clones.

So, can i get away with putting my babies outside soon? This will be my first time outdoors, and i still have yet to figure out the normal plan for us Californians. Thanks

if you put ya plants outside during march/april they will start to show sex and flower until end of april or early may then revert to veg and begin to pick up speed!

Ok, so here last week, my 600watt died in my bunkbed (yes - i grow in a bunkbed lol) which basically left me with 3 x G13-diesels, and 1 x Soylent Green, 3 and 4 weeks in flower respectivly.
Im in OH, and was left with no choice but to throw them outside.
after all my reading up on outdoor growing here, i know its a little too early, but also know enough about growing indoors to know the plants should be fine provided i keep an eye on that last frost and bring them in for it.

so my question is, after your statement above, will be plants outside continue to think they are in flower because its soo early???....
if so, this changes things for me in a good way.
ill be getting a replacement light for my Bunkbed in 2 weeks time. will they still be in flowering mode at this time???...
so, i could, persay, bring them straight back inside in 2 weeks, and be still on schedule?...

or am i just asking for hermies doing that?... if so, ill leave em outside.
thanx for your help.
heck of a thread!
