Hi baokubu,

I dont think you need to LST Panama, it already has a very strong branching and yields are usually high outdoors when grown in natural way. Hope both plants are female so you can try a bit of each strain. Best wishes for summer time!

Hai dubi nice to see u here. both plants are female so nice to know it. I wont make any LST cuz i dont think it will get so big as i wanted. but i think i will get a nice yield from this. may u tell me when will the PCK start to flower in spain? im in middle zone. thank you very much Master.

just do it, nothing speaks against ;-)

you must collect and store the pollen from your nepjam if you want to pollinate panama later with it, otherwise it could be done before your panama cut really flowers.

You'll want to isolate your male before his pollen sacs open, collect his pollen (an opaque film canister with inert desiccant, such as indicating spheres, works well), and apply to isolated buds with a paintbrush or the like.

Important to pollinate at the right time to ensure seeds are mature enough when you harvest the plant. How many weeks of flowering photoperiod are the male and females into?

female didnt entered flowering yet but nepal jam started to flower 2-3weeks ago, male is already openin flowers but this male is far away from me and i can't go check out frequently so i go see nepal jam once every week im thinking about bringing this panama cut where the male is so they can fuck alone lol, i have more female plants on my garden and i dont want they get pregnant. so what can i do? help. :dance013:

I suggest you collect the male pollen in isolation so your entire female plants don't produce mostly seed. You can apply the harvested pollen to the lower branches of your females and harvest those seeded buds after you cut the seedless bud from your Nep Jam as you'll want the seeds to have enough time to mature. If you pollinate your Panama at the onset of flowers showing pistils you'll be fine with seed maturity upon harvest.

There are good threads on collecting pollen and selectively pollinating a small portion of a female in the Breeder's Laboratory subforum.

thank you very much very helpful, i will go see the male tomorrow then i will post some pics, this is my first time collectin pollen so how should i do it?

There are posts that explain in helpful detail - note the sticky posts in the breeder's lab subforum, especially the posts on collecting pollen and harvesting seeds.

Assuming you've read the material above, you've got a couple of options depending on how mature the male is.

If no pollen sacs have opened:

I suggest you take sterile-tipped (clean with rubbing alcohol) trimmers or scissors and a rectangular plastic box, like a tupperware breadbox (the longer the better) out to your male. The plastic box needs to be able to stay upright for your trip home and have up to 10cm water with a splash of hydrogen peroxide. Cut a few branches from the male that look like they're about to open and place them immediately one by one into your plastic container with the stem tip fully submerged. It's important to keep air out of the stems to prevent embolism, infection, etc.

Once you've brought the branch cuttings somewhere safe and out of the wind, ensure they are in a container that lets you tilt the branch so that the majority of pollen sacs are leaning over the side and over a surface (like a clean paper plate or aluminum foil) instead of over the water.

The branches won't need much light and the pollen will drop when mature, which you can collect and store.

If some of the pollen sacs are open already:

Take a gallon-sized plastic bag to the male and cover the most mature branches, taking care not to apply too much force until you've got most of the branch in the bag and have closed up the slack around the bag opening. Give the branch a good shake and check the bag to see if any viable pollen is in the bag. Repeat with other branches as necessary.

Be sure to change clothes and shower before going to the females - pollen could get everywhere.

Either way, once you have viable pollen you can apply to your females with an artist's paintbrush or q-tip, etc.

Good luck!

i'm in the midwestern united states and my panama plants have just started to show pistil lengthening - no resin yet.

crossing a pure indica with a pure sativa will result in a 50/50.

Beautiful PCK in early flowering baokubu, you should get a few dozens of seeds pollinating a single bud of good size.

Panama x Nepal Jam or Nepal Jam x PCK should produce interesting results, this 3 strains are quite consistent and very desirable for breeding but you will need to try different combination and test the outcome to know what is the best combination.

Nepal Jam x PCK should produce a 50/50 hybrid, slightly more on the indica side.
You can expect an early flowering and easy to grow hybrid, with nice colors and aromas and average to good resin production. The flower/leaf ratio would depend on how nepal jam contributes to the hybrid but has definately the potential to contribute in a positive way regarding this trait.

Best wishes for the rest of flowering!
