Foliar Feeding Question

G

growit1234

During the hot afternoons the guard cells close the stoma underneath the leaves in order to retain the plants water.

How long after night fall does it take for the stoma to open, thus excepting the foliar ferts?

nobody foliar feeds

I think the best time is about 3 or 4 hours after sun up

or at least thats what I found thru google

Hi Growit,
I don't foliar feed my weed but I do feed my whole veggie garden. I always feed in the afternoon. This way all of the water evaporates before nightfall and it leaves a nutrient film on the leaves. I try to keep the leaves dry at night so that it is easier to combat fungii. All of these pics plants are religiously foliar.

Hope this helps,
Seed

foliar feeding cannabis isn't such a great idea, specially during flowering.
perhaps during vegetative stage it would make more sense, but then to change the feeding habit that has been formed during the veg. time during flowering time may have some consequences, but i am not sure... only thing i am sure of is that i wouldn't smoke anything that has been given foliar feeding during flowering...
peace.

i always FF my plants, as late into bloom as i can but everyday in veg, sometimes they jsut need a spray with water. in bloom i try to get the bigger fan leaves only stay away from the buds.

usually the FF consists of:
wormcastings
kelp
compost
epsom salts for MG ( once a week tops )
or just water.

in veg they get wormcastings and compost tea everyday, kelp spray with the compost/WC every otehr day. if they look real healthy they just get water. this is SPECIALLY outdoors. indoors dont get sprayed as much.
