I've got 15 flights under my belt over the last two years,start at PBI and work your way up too JFK,I been to all the ports in between,even the ones ya can still smoke in!!!
Every single time I have had at least a 1/4 on my person.....when I see these threads I chuckle,it is too easy to scare people.While the Gubment may be trying to fry all smokers,what you must remember is the people,the ones actually wearing the uniform are normal just like you and me.Its a job to these people,and altho there may be 1 or 2 horror stories,most everyone I know feels the same.Small amounts,no metal,in britches,and your good to go anywere!!!!I wouldnt and dont think twice about it,theres no glory in busting an idiot with an eighth a weed,matter of fact,ya know the blue card ya get in your luggage saying its been searched?I have had something ill eagle in there everytime too and I'm still free.anyways,I'll take mine with me anyday.

there's airport loopholes, such as certain people with babies in strollers or wheelchairs and the like, get sent right through security gates when its backed up..... used to fly out of mc carran alot...

I'd have to agree with Red145... Its very easy to take pot through an airport. Ive taken at least a quarter/sometimes a half with me last five times of flown with no problems. Been through the puffer with a quarter in my boxers with no problem. Had a quarter hidden inside a pair of shoes be scanned, no problem. And I know plenty of people that do the same.
I fly all the time and always just put it in my bag and check it. As long as it is in something air tight so if they do have to check your bag it does not smell. When they open the bag they are looking for bombs, not drugs. They swipe a cloth around the inside of the bag and put it in a machine. The cloth picks up anything bomb related materials. My father is a pilot for a major airline so this is not just from experience but from knowing exactly what they are looking for.
I have been searched tons of times in the airport and have never had my crotch grabbed. They are not cops and are not supposed to do that. I would have flipped out on the guy.
