Hey Dawn, I think it's just been a snotty year so far. Record cold and now record heat. Having the same problem indoors. AC just can't keep up with the heat. I've got 2 super big gulp cups full of fan leaves and pick more each day.

^^ Yeah I just harvested my indoors and there is no way I'm starting back up until it cools off. There is a big difference between getting free heating from the lights in the winter and running the AC on full blast in the summer.

Sorry to hear about the heat and rain back home. Any problems with bud rot or fungus because of the wet?

Not for me. Even though I grow outside, I use lights to manipulate the photoperiod so I almost never try to start flowering anything before the end of September. I can't imagine that the commercial guys are happy though.

Unfortunately due to the record cold, my spring harvest was way short of what I needed to get me through the summer months so I thought I'd try to flower one of my favorite mums to remedy that situation. It's looking like a total loss at this point. Even if the plant lives, there's no way it's going to produce anything decent. I've had thoughts of moving it back to the lights and trying to heal it and flower it later, but at this point I may have root rot/fungus issues that would make that idea more trouble than it's worth. I have some good clones from the mum so the genetics are not lost.

Almost all my indica seedlings are doing poorly. I started some Chronic, Medijuana, Godzilla, Chitrali & Kush and they are all barely alive in this heat. I was trying to get some started and clone & sex so I could possibly get some smoke in the spring, but it's pretty clear that I'll have to pop some more beans around the end of September cos I'm not sure this bunch is going to make it.

Too my understanding that is all you would need. Hopefully Evlme2 will chime in cause to my understanding it is all he uses with tap water also. He has no problems at all look at he grow log and pictures plant are in perfect health.

SuperSilverHaze, Maxibloom is all you need. Gsizzle is correct, I use nothing but Maxibloom and tap.
I do add powder KoolBloom for a few days prior to the pre-harvest flush, but that it.
By using my (300ppm) tap water I avoid any possible Cal issues and my rez stays sanitized from the chlorine.
I use 3/4 tsp/gal from seedling and 1 tsp/gal from day one of 12/12.
Thats all their is to it

Evilme2, thx alot. i know i read about it here last month or so but wasnt sure about the ammount.

i just got done transplanting 3 girls into coco and i used app 1/3 tsp per gal so im glad i didnt over do it.

1 tsp / gal the entire 12/12 or do you bump it up depending on if they can take it.

No, I don't bump it up. I cruise right @ 1tsp/gal until 4 days before the beginning of their 14 day flush.
At 4 days before I add 1/2 tsp/gal of powder Koolbloom. 4 days later, plain tap for the next 14 days. You should get nice yellow leaves and very smooth smoke.
*The added powdered KB is not an absolute necessity*
It's easy as hell bro. If I can do it, any body can.
Whats the ppm of your tap btw? Mine fluctuates between 290-330.

That sounds real good evl. I'm using liquid kool bloom, can you do it that way too?

If I'm not mistaken, liquid KB is meant to be used at the onset of flower, right when buds first form. Though I see no reason why it can't be used at the end like the powder.

gotta go with the maxibloom pretty much half price per gal compaired to 6/9
1 gal bloom cheapest i can source 30$ i can get 420 gallons of mix at 9 mil gal but still need micro cheapest i can find gal $30 get 630 gal of mix with 1 gall of micro so would have an extra 210 gall of mix that more bloom would havta b bought to use

so for 60$ i get 420 useable 6/9 mix

now the maxibloom there 96 tsp in a # $30 for 4.4# = 422 gal 2 extra gal for half the price but can also get 8# for $40 8#= 768 gal mix

so $20 cheaper and i get 348 extra gallons of useable mix

i know what im buyn

maybe ill try and return my botanicare cal/mag that i just bought and get a ppm meter.

anyway, thx for the reply and Maxibloom, coco & dtw seems to be the easiest so far.

im excited about coco and possibly a new edition to my room. UltraSonja from Grindhouse.

To be honest, I don't even check my ppm's anymore. I have a cheap ppm meter that collects dust. I just go by the amount of nutrients I'm adding. In other words, I don't adjust the amount of nutes I use in accordance to whats coming out of my tap. I keep my strength the same.
I know about a half doz people in dif parts of Fla that all use the same exact recipe of tap and Maxi and we all get similar results with zero defs. You should be good to go.
For ph, I use this;

Reliable, repeatable results, no batteries or calibration needed and only 5 bucks. It says to use 4-5 drops but I find that it only takes one drop, so a bottle will last me a year.
Dtw is about as easy as it gets, imho. You're gonna love it!

Sound like me lol............. yeh let us know bout that Casey Jones. Thinking bout popping them very soon. Just have too many to choose from. One thing that is helpful about running that Kiss program. It gives you the opportunity to run quite a few strains. Since you are not on a schedule to run certain nutes and snake oils at a specific time.
