This mess in the Gulf is a real pisser. Its going to be poisoned for years, perhaps decades to come.

Easily avoided if only consumers would stop being pussies to big oil and force it out of business by putting money into some other market.

ffs, all we need is just 6% of the US to grow out enough hemp to fuel the US fleet of cars & trucks. Enough of all this entangled bullshit the nation ends up in the pursuit to secure crude.

Right on Mosthigh. This state has really gotten their priorities backwards. Pristine white sand beaches and we depend on tourist $$$; lets build an oil platform in an area that will wipe out beaches if the unthinkable happens.

Grow baby grow....sounds much better. Any cannabis oil spills can be measured in grams. And if cannabis washes up on shore....we will all be there helping with the harvest....err, I mean clean up.

Nice gamble hugh....we were "convinced" that if we didn't have it here we were "safe". This is truly a nightmare that we are only beginning........

No doubt big oil will use the situation as an excuse to drive the oil prices up with a "perceived" shortage. We should start seeing that in a month or so ( not just the normal summer increase ).

Also if the damage to Florida is severe enough, a state tax could/would also be around the corner! A state tax would reshape this state very rapidly from the poor that can't make it now, to retired people who move here. This would have compounding effect on low income families. Without the retired people moving here more jobs would be lost.

Yes my fellows, this is a sad situation indeed! How much longer will we stand for the raping and fouling of our Mother Earth?

no way, no one knows.
hes just bummed. they didnt bring him to jail. wrote him a ticket for possession.. the k9 cop was cool with him, said he was going to tell the judge to take it easy on him. im sure he will get diversion as this is his first offense.
