Haha true that, I remember the first time i grew some bud... oh man so many questions as to why this herb was 100,000,000 times better and stronger than what I been smoking and buying:rolleyes:.... :jawdrop: Then i realize those buds that I was buying got no love or attention bunk weed that was probably watered with pure mexican pissed:puke: from seed to harvest:mopper::bandit:.
thats some funny shit.
yea i felt the same way, but theres alot on hear that say the state is flooded with the best weed in the country. the only time i see that, is when its flown in from california, and its got a $5-600 plane ticket

Hey Toasted. All I gotta say is thank you.

Anyways...for bricks, if it's just from seed I'd do straight tap.

BUT if they are clones, Ive found I can soak the bricks in straight 6/9 water and they LOVE it, and take root almost immediately. If you're nutes are crazy and you're timid, do a half strength.

Just what Ive heard on the grapevine.

I always use straight tap to blow up my Botanicare blocks. I use a 5 gal bucket withing another one. The inside bucket has holes drilled in the bottom. I put a few hunks of coco in the bucket, add water 'til the coco is soup, then pull the inside bucket out. The water runs out the holes and the very little fine coco comes out. Whats left is soaked coco ready to go.
When I fill my pots with the coco, but before I put in a cut (or seed) I run water thru it to runoff, this helps settle the coco and get rid of air pockets.
You can rinse the shit outta the coco if you feel it necessary but I've used Botanicare coco my whole coco growing career and it has never given me a problem. It's quality stuff for sure.

*EDIT*
You can also soak it in nutes the way Ioni does, no problem. I water with nutes to full runoff as soon as I put a cut in it, that way I know the roots got bathed in nutes.

graham, ive been to worms way a few times but ive went to all organics and no chemical nutes. i add bone meal, blood meal, worm castings, kelp meal in a base of FFOF soil. i also add some mycorrozial fungi to the mix. i also use Liquid Karma and unsulphered blackstrap molassas every 2-3 watering.

i have seen most of my mix at Lowes so i dont think ill ever go back to worms way. lowes sells Epsoma Bio Tone, mushroom compost, bone & blood meal and several different brands of organic soil. i cant find any kelp meal so ill order that online.

i reuse my soil by putting it into a rubbermaid bin and i add hygrozyme to break down the roots faster. im trying to decide on a compost bin so i can start adding vegetable scraps and move my reused soil outside.

i still got my gh flora nova bloom & veg that i bought 7-8 months ago when i tried dwc, cant see me using them. all i do all grow is add un-PH'd water and ive had my best results so far.

yeah i still have to go there for nutes and coco.i guess i'm going to do a side by side of the 6/9 flora vs the maxibloom next time i go for more nutes.that could save me quite a bit of money just using the maxibloom and evl's results with it are nice

Fucking genius. Another note to add to the "coco list" for when I start. I know this is a stupid question (or as Gunny used to say "There are no stupid questions, just stupid people asking questions!") but... you let that tap water de-gas the chlorine first, right?

And to stir up a little more discussion...

Foliar feeding. I am real close to becoming a fanatic, I did my first last night right at lights out and I really can't believe the difference. I am going to run two clone side-by-side and see the difference. I have three papaya clones that will be rooted and ready by this weekend.

Anyway... Foliar, who here in the great Sunshine State does it? When? With what? And how do you overcome the 99.995% humidity issues we have when you do foliar?

Thanks mi amigos, I learn more here than anywhere else on this site

Slowcala....I use to foliar feed with a product called "Sonic Bloom", it was a bit dif then other foliar feeds becuase after you sprayed the plant you played music to the plant(sort of like classical music, with birds chirppin) that was suppose to open up the plants stomata to up take the nutrients better...LOL I know when you read that its going to sound like im insane (play a plant music???what is this guys off his rocker???) but it worked and I had great results with the product....I dont foliar feed anymore though....peace

good morning Fla. a little chilly this morning. 2 Polk's?i had no idea. glad to know it. the green swamp is a nice place to be ghostwolf. hell I'm waiting on a package too, trainwreck, northern lights and the famous c99 bx1,evl got me fiending for pineapple lol.add that to rez's strawberry diesel, the cherry ak47,silver haze, ohaze x skunk#1 the taint and a cut I'm playing around with i call the sunshine haze, which is rez's sour diesel x ohaze x skunk#1 and I'm going to run out of room for mothers before long but thats a nice problem to have. so you Polk guys know of any place closer than Tampa to get nutes?
:smokey: Good Evening, Graham Purwatt sounds like a good list of goodies there. I'm making a bigger PC case for my new girls at this time. I have to go stealth with the girls due to my situation. So I'll soon have more space to work with for them, just hoping I'll have some of my goodies by then. Sounds like you've got some great mom's going there to. So far I haven't found any where in Polk yet to get good nutrients I'm still searching:dunno:. I've been working with free samples from BioBizz and I think they aren't giving them anymore so when that's gone I've got a problem. I do have some StarDust nutrients hanging around, but after that I have to find something else and hope I won't have to go far away to get it. I guess I just gotta do what I gotta do tho. :smokeit:
