We actually have discussed how hard, and most likely, full of shit, those cannabis cup type events must be for true judging. It seems to become more of a taste testing and enjoying the flavors more so than being able to distinguish all the individual nuances of the individual buzzes. Usually starts with a couple different bowls, then someone fires up the vape, a few joints get rolled...and 2 hours later it's all a very heavy blur
But, it can't be beat, thats for sure! We all spend so much time hiding in this state, it's good to slowly build a circle of trust...then no one in the circle ever needs to go without. A beautiful thing!

SlowCalaToker, Ogh is spot on with the nutrient regimen. I never thought growing dank would be so easy until I read dongle69's 6000w thread. She is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to nutrients.
Is their more yield/taste/high to be had from adding 15 different additives? Maybe. But this way is so damn simple
Maxibloom, tap water (sometimes i mix tap and RO, when I can get my lazy ass to the Glacier Water RO machine in front of the local WinnDixie) and the occasional pk booster does it for me.

those seeds are by bedroom. he's a member and i guess sent them in. i did a google of them and i found that he also uses that name on Nice's forum, and that these are mr nice's SSH, f3. not a bad freebie. in my last 2 orders from SBN, my freebies have been 1 pack sam skunkmans hazexskunk(i now have 3 10 packs), that bedroom baked beans SSH, head seads g13&sour dieselxGiesha 10pack, ch9 double x 10 pack. not too shabby huh?
So were there any strains that you smoked, after you were already high, that just blasted you? i would imagine it would be really hard to judge over 10 different varieties in a day. to make it fair, it should be one type a day, and you aren't allowed to smoke anything, until Noon. and you judge your high that way. you should only get 1 gram of each, each day. so that way you couldn't jack your tolerance one day smoking 2-3 grams.

Yeah, I totally agree about a strain a day for a truer judge of overall awesomeness 
Each strain was really enjoyable today, but it always seems to be the bubble hash that takes most of us over the edge.
If memory serves right, the strains today were:
Mountain Jam - very smooth, nicely cured, fruity and light, then comes on like a storm.
Purple Urlkle x Bubblegum - was taken a tad early, but still in the window where the full flavor seemed apparent...super fun joint when that went around. I have never had true PE or Bubblegum, so can't comment about how each were represented in the pheno smoked.
SnowDog - A tasty eye opener for me as I had never had any of rez's offerings before. That started the day for me and was a superb taste for just coming down days ago.
Grapefruit x Blueberry - Always perfect! No complaints.
MK Ultra - rolled a nice joint of this to squeeze in between the bubble hash rips that Ioni and Blaner were passing around. MK is mine, so I do love it and hope to grow it again...just a nice body/mind combo that doesn't make me racy and lasts forever.
Papaya - like GF x BB, just solid quality with a nice bouquet...but nothing I can pin.
Purple Lady - First time with this, very happy weed. Orange zest, heavy on the citrus and orange on the exhale. Bit tangy smelling...I consider this a very true orange taste, much like the c9 pheno we have from evl is a very strong, over ripe pineapple.
May have been a few more mixed ...oh, like some Schnazzleberry just for good measure and rotten meat smell, but sexy filet mignon when smoked.
And enough bubble to stone an army!

i have got to get a vaporizer. i was going to get a cheap one, but then all these people told me the volcano is so much better. What really pisses me off is that the lowest price i can find, for the unit and the valve set and bags, is $539 shipped, but that also comes with a Iscale(a scale that looks like an iphone) and a deluxe hard metal case. I do not want either of the 2, and would never use them. Why can't somebody sell it without that crap, for cheaper than $539 shipped? I dont get it. Does anyone know if headshops sell them at normal prices? I figure i may be able to hagle down to $540 out the door for the volcano and valve set. Also, does anybody know the difference between the easy valve set, and the solid valve set?

Good Drown, I got mines from a place in Broward County called Cosmic Charlies.
You can walk outta there with one prly for like $500 will all this extra shit and freebies and samples etc.
I got a really good deal on mine, but only cuz I know the chicks that work in there and they gave up commission for me
It IS worth it. You will love it. Its still nice to blaze and whatnot but you will notice a difference.

i just grew 2 slh's and have 3 i just put into flower. pretty good smoke, tastes nice like lemons, smells the same. smells real good when flowering.
question on coco for you fellers, and this is crucial...can you reuse it? if so how many times? its going to get pretty annoying constantly having to buy and dump sol every 2 months. also, what brand coco you guys run? my local place has a few kinds ranging in price. the best stuff there is American Agritech CocoGro 1.5 cuft Loose Fiber for $20 a bag. their description of it says its the best, 18 months aged, low salts... yada yada. is this what i should get?i do not mind spending the extra money on it, if i can reuse it a few times. i think i want to try it on my 12 lil guys i just sprouted. they are in 16oz of soil, so when i up pot to 2 gallons, i think ill try them in coco. how much coco would you guys suggest for 12 2 gallon pots?

Ghostwolf, that sounds like a nice package to be waiting on, should be some keepers in there.
I use the Botanicare Cocogro, $20.00 for the 1.5cf bag, never worked with the brand you mentioned. I don't re-use it at all.
I have learned though that unless you are going to veg for a considerable amount of time, 2 gallon pots aren't needed indoors...I don't even go that big for my outdoors.
My main pot are the ones seen in the recent photos, like 5.5" square and abut 5-6" deep. You will be amazed at how many roots are happy in a small volume of coco.
So, I end up with these little 5" squares of pure root mass when done. Pop those outside to dry up and hit them with the lawnmower and they vanish.
One of those bags of coco fill up so many of those little pots I never have worried about re-using.
I think in the Coco forum they have guys that do the re-use thing. But, with my little closet, I need about 5 bags a year...so the cost becomes a non issue.
