if theres anything I have learned over the course of the last ten years of growing hard it's that the very first rule of growing is you tell NO ONE...lovers get pissed, neighbors will call the hear at the drop of a hat, friends get high and begin to brag agout their buddy that is a rock star grower...it all will bring you down...be cool and grow old with your freedom...growing old is very cool if done right...peace from the swamp

Words of wisdom!!

I hope your outdoor ladies are doing fine after all the rain yesterday.

And to the rest.....Grow on Florida!!

Hope you boyz and girls finally got a break from the cold.

It ain't snowing over here in England....but dat don't mean that da weather don't still suck....using a 'clothes line' weather gauge: only days when I can use the outside solar powered dryer is the weather good.

In the 80's? Sounds so wonderful. Got the news on the A/C unit at home in Florida....replacement. It's old (15 years), it breaks every year, last year it broke 2 times...fuck it, everything rots in NE FLA.

my little girls are just starting to peek their heads outta the soil in the cabinet.

I went from germination directly to the big 11litre square end-state pot. It eliminates one possible point of failure....da transplant.
whatcha think?

Ghost...you got that camera shit down great....you do weddings?...hahaha.

Today I got the 18mm 2pc whip for my vaporizer. If you vap, you have to get this whip. I had to turn down the temp and I use about .2g of MJ. It wasn't chip, but I figure with the hit I just took, I saved .8g of MJ, that's about $20. I got 4 pulls before I changed out the MJ.

This vaporizer and whip where a good investment. I can't wake until I harvest to test my new crop.

Do any of you Florida growers get mold on your plants?

How do you prevent mold from growing
If you're talking about outdoors plants, theirs no such thing as prevention, mother nature will take what she wants when she wants. you're pretty much at her mercy.

Tropical, glad to see you around dude.

Hey all, fairly new to the IC and appreciate the opportunity to glean info from everyone's experience. I've got many fine fine choice beans ready for the long outdoor season at 26N and was hoping anyone in the know can offer advice on when is a good start date for germing in order to maximize veg time and have flower start in late July/early August?

Thanks!

I have never heard of an indica vegging at all outdoors in S. Fla once more than about a month or two has passed from the seed germinating. Some sativas can veg here. Skunk and Haze, for example, will start to flower in August. Start them indoors and put them outside on 4/20 (or thereabouts).

I guess it is just as well. If you flowered an indica in August, it would probably get full of mold anyway.

The key is never showin' em 18/6.

The problem with having more than six hours of darkness in your veg room is that some indicas will flower. That happened to me once. In a stoner moment I accidentally set my timer to 16/8 instead of 18/6 and a couple of my moms flowered.

Also, I don't know that there is any evidence at all that plants keep track of their light schedule and respond to the trend rather than the absolute length of the night time. I think it is common in the plant kingdom to respond to the "critical night length". The plants don't know what season it is, but their hormones can be affected by the length of the night.

I will have lots to report as the year goes on. Good to be here.

Let us know how it goes.
